The named item drop rate in this game is broken (with proof)

You can copy / paste but sadly line by line only.
And do not analyze dice rolls for stabilization checks when you're in the unconscious range, you'd be scared by the results. [/ironical mode on]
Is there a way to reliably put yourself into the unconscious state but not die to gather data on this?

Years ago there was a working combat logger. More than one user reported statistically improbable numbers of 1s being rolled. One guy quit over it. Then they patched whatever made the logger work.

So? Plat is plentiful and worthless. The cost of 1,000 UMD checks is one mad weekend of vendor trash.

I logged over 1,000 DD rolls across 7 servers and found wildly improbably numbers. During the entire year-ish of daily gold rolls for VIPs I think I got higher than 50 maybe 10 times? That should be physically impossible.
10 or fewer rolls above 50 out of a thousand rolls, would be a probability of around 1 in 4e277, which is easily in the "impossible" range. (I simplified the math a bit to estimate)

Usually , mobs stop hitting you when you're on the ground and it's better to have an unconscious range above 50/60.
EDIT 1: A more secure way might be to start a fight in the arena with an alt. No , not the arena, bad idea, the characters won't stay in unconscious state.
EDIT 2: tavern brawling area is no better because the tavern regeneration is active.

A simpler way to do that might be to go a wilderness with an alt.

Which I just did and I must admit the sequences are far more normal than a few months ago on Orien.
There I could have to roll d100 30~40 times, before seeing a value below 11.
An extreme case was an average of ~74 with a lowest of ~46 and ~6 throws above 90 before recovering after 42 attempts.

Is heroic borderlands guaranteed to drop named items? I have started multi-boxing and did 5 of the quests there, and at least on Heroic Reaper-1, I got a named item on all 6 characters for every quest, for 30 named items in a row. I'm not sure I've ever done heroic borderlands before, so that was surprising to me. The items are all pretty terrible so I could see them having a guaranteed drop rate. I know the epic version is not, because I've farmed that a little bit for a couple particular items that I wanted for TRing, so I just wasn't expecting to see an item drop in every chest for every character.

Just further evidence IMO that the 33% nominal drop rate doesn't hold true across the board.

Yes, it was part of their new player experience revamp.

Are lunar/solar gems considered "named items"? As in the theoretical 33%+X drop rate means if you succeed in that check you'll get either a traditional named item or a lunar/solar augment if the quest can drop them? Been running some night brigade with the Cow-herd and unsure how to log the data, if those are separate rolls or not.

They are part of the 33%+ named drop rate . Someone told me the named items have a higher drop rate than the augments in the newest pack only - but I have no way to verify it and am not sure where that was stated - I don't recall seeing it on the forums.

3 weeks of ransack with a full party (main + 5 alt accounts) the wizards labyrinth on LE and then on second run last weekend
I finally got the necklace I was after , 2 items never showed up during looting : Bracer and the club . Thats stupid and then some , I get that the club is a rare but the bracers should have been looted . I HATE farming !!

p.s. NO I am never running that stupid quest again this year

iirc, Steelstar said that they have manually adjusted some of the solar/lunar aug drop rates to be lower than the named items they share a loot table with. I do not recall if he listed specifically how much of an adjustment they received or what the actual rates are though.

If you want more detail, those posts are in the Lammania forums.

Yes and no.

Some gems are on the rare list, so about 1% chance of getting on the rare list, and then another x percent to get the rare on that list you are looking for.,

That's effectively the same as having to run the quest 144 times on a single character, to get a single item you're after, and if you'd wanted the bracers as well you'd still be going. Totally ridiculous in my opinion that they expect players to run stuff hundreds of times to get basic items.
