I was looking directly in the old forum for former replies I posted a long time ago in some threads.Fully archived?
My experience with Wayback Machine is that only some pages are archived (and part of them are outdated, not getting last final version), but maybe we are lucky with whole old forum.
Most of the forum threads that are on DDOwiki are these two formats to either take a reader directly to the post being cited OR to just the thread number because it's way shorter. DDOwiki volunteers have been doing their best to archive all of the forums-old links that we have. Hopefully we'll still be able to get SOME information from this particular archive and what we can't, well... we can't. It's just gone.Works:
forums-old.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/499242-The-(New-and-Improved)-Hey-Lynnabel-Thread
Doesn't work:

@ShoeMaker This is the way to get the correct URL for those cases where you only have a thread number. So there is no danger of anything being lost; it's just slightly inconvenient. It's been my experience that navigating on the old forum archive is hit or miss i.e. you can't go to a heading and expect a full list of entries to populate under it. Often, it's only one or two posts.
You're much better off if you know the URL for the exact thread that you're looking for. You can search for topics externally & limit the search to the web.archive.org site, or you can start from the archive's own list of old DDO forum pages:

I saw some of those while creating archives for the wiki, I retried some of them up to four or five times on different days with no success. Some of the pages were deleted off of the old forums and didn't exist to be archived for whatever reason (likely either they had some kind of exploit information or were in some way deemed inappropriate per SSG legal standards). So far I've had 99% success finding every thread I've wanted with the exception of a couple that returned errors. Apparently those pages got scanned during a moment when the (old forums) website was redirecting to the error splash page.
Thanks. Updated link works now, it just takes a looooong time for the wayback machine to retrieve it. Is anyone worried that the wayback machine might not be as stable/long-lasting as we're assuming? Is there a particular limitation with the wiki or another reason why the 'content' of the guide and it's author couldn't be copy-pasted into a small wiki page? Just curious.Link on the wiki has been updated. Feel free to reach out on https://discord.me/DDOwiki if you need help with forums-old links on the wiki. Thanks.
