The Snowpeaks Festival has arrived!

The typical cadence on events is they will debut that Wednesday or Thursday, run through the weekend, run the following week and 2nd weekend, then shut off that following Monday. That is also the case with Snowpeaks. We have a few exceptions, particularly Night Revels and Festivult.

But it's a very short and events used to last longer. Could you consider making the events longer? People have lives outside the game.

Just a note for those players on Cormyr that have already invested deeply in their skull lanterns.
With this snowpeaks event turned on, notably during the time that there is a durability boost on the lanterns, be aware and pay careful attention to the new champion that has been introduced into the lantern event during this time.
The champion is the Scourge champion and looks like it is encased in ice, this champion like the mabar champ and crystal cove champ are designed to do one thing, increase the chances of SSG killing you. Unlike the mimic event there is no way to turn these champions off.
These Scourge champions are guaranteed certain buffs like extra damage and extra extra damage, plus they can carry up to a total of 10 of the champion buffs, possibly including multiple dot effects. Effects like this are particularly dangerous with monsters that have aura attacks or spam attacks such as arcane skeletons or howlers.
Be careful out there folks during the snowpeaks festival.
A note to SSG, please let us turn off event champions for these events some of us dont want champions with 10 buffs when we are playing the game for fun.

Some of us dont want the event longer because we dont want the event champions on a server with hardcore lanterns. So please SSG dont make the event longer.
Dont worry Anurakh, just got the event extended for you there.
Lol, my boyfriend will say to me dont be upset about it, just be flattered that you really are the one living rent free.

One unique thing this time is that people are also trying out Cormyr so it feels like a tighter window than usual. Especially if you are trying to get some things on two servers. An extra week would be welcome and make sense in this case considering the timing with Cormyr.

Will Flurry remain longer to use keys already acquired?
prob not; but keys will work next year again.

Don't things almost always end up ending on Wednesday? I feel like we should just advertise promotions, events, and sales from wed-wed. I mean in my guild we all said yeah it'll probably go till Wednesday and say that with every event that states otherwise and are slightly surprised the few times it doesn't end on the following Wednesday after stated end date.

I just don't see the point in trying to get any of these snowpeaks coins or even opening the snow boxes. They give us tougher monsters for no reason and the loot isn't worth it. Let us opt out of events when we start a quest. The XP earned in the quest doesn't even reflect the increase in difficulty.
