Arti gets endless fusilade faster. So speed run wise should take 4 levels of arti first if solo. And use heavy repeater until lvl 12. After lvl 12 of course that doesn't matter. Lag, ping, latency is annoying for ranged types that too is kinda solved with No Holds Barred. In end game have 15 charges of it some build could try to get 9 asap so zerging will be fast as possible.

So you'd go 4 Arti, 6 Ranger, then 10 of whatever it is you wanted the life in?

Yep I would say that is the easiest way. 4 arti first gives also lvl2 spells so if its INT build elemental weapons and insightful strikes.

Goes abit off topic from inquisitive this all depends on to goal of the build so if its a 1- 20, 1- 30 or 15 - 30(34) or if even want to stay abit on cap. And if the point of the build is to be the easiest r1 solo runs or what. With 4 levels or arti the rest can be anything and can do it as a repeater or inquisitive build and swap those while leveling or whatever if start from lvl 1. If its iconic so lvl15 whatever works with inquisitive because of course get T5 at start.

Am now at level 8. Went 2 x Artificer so that I can use a Rune Arm but otherwise following the guide. Have Ratcatcher now as well.

Toon has 8 Heroic past lives and maybe 6 Epic lives (Ranger x 1, 0 x Doubleshot, 1 x Enchanted Weapon) so there are not a lot of past life buffs happening. In full Feywild gear too.

Is it common to start off very slow and the speed of kills increases? It takes me a minimum of 2, maximum of 3 lots of shots to kill regular mobs, with orange and reds taking a VERY long time.

It feels like the DPS is as bad as pure Ranger and a bow at this stage. Out of all the lives on this toon (main has over 100 lives) at this point it is the slowest of all (including the very 1st which was Rogue/Wizard).

It could also be latency meaning a LOT of my shots go missing. Hold down the attack button too long and even before the 1st shot is done and my finger not there, a 2nd shot still occurs. So I end up having to click each time I want to shoot rather than just hold down Attack (like you would with melee). Also changing targets mid shots doesnt matter. The new target isnt going to get hit. So really unless I am 1-shotting every regular mob its going to take a LONG time to finish dungeons.

At level 8 you can have access to Isle of Dread gear which is nice for the level. As for the speed, it will speed up. Not having the extra Ranger past lives and what not will make a huge difference early on. Also don't forget to use Know the Angles all the time and Shoot First will speed things up a lot too.

Attack speed at low levels is rather painful now but you will get to the point where you do hit hard so that somewhat makes up for it.

anyone using an endgame gearset figuring at least 2 pieces from ton and some dino mixed in any thoughts on which way to go. would like to stay at cap for a bit and farm high reaper xp.

I have tried to come up with something multiple times and there is just so much overlap that it makes my head hurt.

I use artifact boots from ton, 4pc vecna and a bunch of MD and a couple of rat chain items. It's not perfect but pretty good

Hobgoblin

Less Nerfy Nerfy more fixy fixy
try gmof with windlashers and boots from dq

then add in sora katra three piece and work in either dino or md

Why heavy repeater until 12 instead of dual shooting?

At a guess it is because Arti gets EF at tier 4 which is earlier than Inquisitive at tier 5 for NHB. Once you get to 12 and have the tier 5's in Inquisitive then switch at that point.

Finally fixed a some formatting issues with the tables not staying centred (very annoying), also added a augment to the level 20 belt and moved an augment to the boots.

Added some more augments for the level 30 gear set, finally gotten round to actually sorting a few out for an alt!

Although you don’t *need* the feats, I’d go 6ftr for two (after you take rapid shot and precise shot) extra feats. I don’t use any of the ranger trees anyway.

My current run Im going 8 Arty, 9 Ranger (for evasion) then 3 Fighter. Heaps of extra feats. I havent tried it but can you go Defensive stance and ranged?

No idea but you would be better off with Precision as far as I know.

I ended up 9 Arty, 9 Ranger, 2 Fighter. Blitzed through Epic in about 8 hours of play time.

Looking forward to TRing because while Inquis is super powerful I just didnt enjoy it.
