I know, right?! It's supposed to be HARD CORE, and not that HC we get with SSG every season, but something really HARD CORE. But, sadly, I will probably have to make concessions to make this event work for the masses. So, we'll see, I guess. Thanks for the post!
It's like how I raised my kids... Them: "Dad?" Me: "No. I mean what? Oh, then no."
Weird that soloing is less hardcore than playing in a group of 6. If you actually wanted it to be... hardcore.... you'd solo everything.
No one said soloing is less hardcore just that in order to ensure people do not cheat (shocker!) it is necessary to have witnesses. No one is stopping you from being the ultimate hardcore player and soloing all by yourself. You just may not be able to participate officially in this unofficial hardcore event since some form of verification that toons did not in fact die is necessary. I solo quite frequently even in hardcore but I understand the rationale behind it being an issue in this event don't you?

Those ideas about no solo-ing were in the rough early stages too. So many people want to solo and we found that no matter what rules in place there was no way to keep people honest, and we wanted to simplify to just a handful of guidelines so I finally completed the official event guidelines here: https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...unofficial-hardcore-league-summer-2024.12386/

You said soloing is less hardcore. That's what I was responding to. Nice gaslight bro.

No, I said that if one of the rules that the person who is taking time out of their lives to run this event is that there is no soloing allowed then they should feel free to stick to it. Again, NO ONE said that soloing is "less hardcore." No one. What was said was that in order to have some degree of verification and accountability was that soloing may not be allowed for obvious reasons i.e. some people are lying cheaters. Of course soloing is more challengting than being in a party that was not the issue. Also, you are using the term "gaslighting" wrong. Or am I actually gaslighting you now...whoa!
