The vanishing pet / hireling.

This has happened a few times. My hireling vanishes, his bar disappears, but I can still see him in the party list, or in the case of my dark wolf under my name. If I try to resummon them I get told my pet is allready summoned or I can only have one pet. Leaving the area dosen't fix it. Only logging out of the game and logging back in clears them so they can be resummoned. My dark hunter really relies on her little wolf buddy so it is bad when he wanders off somewhere never to be seen again.

It doesn't do anything. They are just gone. This happens more in places like the wilderness area on the island or the ice trap giant thing where you go up and down a lot.

Had it happen several times too. Not SUPER frequent but maybe once every 10 hours of playtime or so? You have to break and reform the party, very annoying if you're in a wilderness in the middle of a saga.

Sounds almost as annoying as when your hireling is still in your party while you are walking around the Harbor. Sometimes you can even send "Tells" to them.

It'll happen if you ask the pet/hireling to stay immobile during quests and leave them there, more often when you the quest entrance is in an adventure zone. The real treat is when it doesn't disappear even when you leave the adventure zone.
Game still thinks the pet/hireling is in the group, only said pet/hireling is still three quests over.

An example that can cause it: If one DDoors (causing pets to teleport to entrance with you) and then immediately exit into a wilderness, they'll often get stuck inside still (and if one doesn't then manually teleport them to the character they'll either glitch & stick around forever or they'll dismiss themselves a short while later, 50/50 either way).

I just noticed the feet icon, that forces them to abandon whatever they are doing and come back to you. That has fixed it sometimes, not always, but more often then not. There is a lot the game does not bother to tell you or show you.
