It isn't the re-rolling that's the issue; it's the lack of a Bad Luck Protection. You re-roll and get the helm you aren't aiming for, 3 of 4 re-rolls, and the 4th is just garbage.

BLP would mean you get a higher and higher chance of getting whatever you want the longer you re-roll.

I've never rerolled a chest, and never will.

However, I do often run with 5 accounts which, while certainly not for everyone, has been a lot of fun building them all up and managing everything. I'd probably do it anyway, but it definitely makes pulling items more efficient as well. If a new pack comes out that's ~500 DDO points, I can just get that on the other accounts and get a lot more shots at it per week compared to rerolling, and faster as well.

You could make the argument that the entire reason they have rare loot is because more and more people are dual boxing, but that's a topic for another day.

And unless you are in a push guild doing serious end game, 2nd best or 3rd best in slot is going to be more than good enough.

Yea I think there's a good reason they turn a blind eye to it, and perhaps the low drop rates are even related to it. Wasn't cheap.

Funniest thing ever was recently offering discovery potions when buying points. Drop the drop rates super low then offer a solution.
