This week in DDO I learned that: If you are the first bidder on an auction house item, you can bid the listed price instead of the suggested amount.

Tonight I was canceling some of my auction house posts which were going to expire within the hour and found that one posting could not be canceled. It said that there was a bidder on the item, despite it still showing the original price I posted it for. This clued me into the realization that you're only required to bid an extra X% on the current auction price if no other player has bid on the item. I had never realized this before before because the system would always auto-suggest a bid with that extra markup.

What are some non-obvious features of DDO that you've only recently learned about? Bonus points if they're things that should have been obvious.

I learned that you can buy some of the sands items with those bronze tokens you get from the chests and kill drops. There's a little shop just after chains of flame quest giver with the merchant in there. Not sure how long he's been there selling the sets but was helpful (I know he used to just trade for random gear I've deleted thousands of those tokens, will hoard everything from now on).

He's been selling the basic items since the new legendary versions were added & the older ones amended to include the set bonuses - though it's a shame the legendary versions were standardised as the different damage/threat/stats make the lower level versions fun & unique - why shouldn't a legendary rogue have a dex-based greatsword, huh?

I’ve had that happen on a couple items I posted at 3 shards with a buyout of 4. It did confuse me at first.
I guess that 1 shard was worth the risk that no one would buy it buy it before the expiration.

Wow you can just straight up get a RoSS in there. FML, I can literally buy 10 of them now. Kinda makes the 4 I pulled over the years feel a lot cheaper that's for sure.

Still good to have it in there I guess.
