Sinead O'Conner - Danny Boy

here's hoping our democratic republic lives another decade.
What a unique voice she had. She was misunderstood, as all rebels are. She refused to let the status quo shape and control her.

She lays with all the music legends who changed our world for the better. Elvis Presley. John Lennon. Jimi Hendrix. Bob Dylan. Joan Baez. And so many others that fought the status quo even though they KNEW it would endanger them and would not be popular, all for a better world.

The Foggy Dew - Sinéad O’Connor & The Chieftains, 1995

Rest in peace to Sinead O'Connor, one of the few true voices of the Irish isle. We deeply miss you.

This one means a lot. When she was blackballed practically everywhere after her SNL protest moment... and driven to tears on stage just a year later, it was Kris Kristofferson who jumped up stage to console her and they remained friends until she passed.

Not a big country fan, but this moment was refreshing to see. Some 18 years after her infamous SNL appearance, they did this duet together.

I may not fully agree with Sinead and her decisions, but Kris gives a fine example of how to respond to another hurting human being - wish more would have done the same... she more then deserved it.

Yes - I've Seen All Good People Live 1973 (Best Version)

This is the "Stairway to Heaven" for the kids who liked prog rock. Man has this held up brilliantly.

As a kid growing up in the 70s, dam we had some great music and virtuoso musicians. Steve Howe.. .great talent.
