I tend to think of all the people who did not eat today... i hope all your bellies are full :)
Good point! My son and I actively participate with local food banks, pantries, churches and our community college. We even have a "clothing closet" and Valor (for military veterans) nearby that we donate to. I strongly recommend others to look for opportunities like this in your neighborhoods and give your time -- even if you cannot afford to give. At one point in my life, I needed the help. So I always look for ways to give back whenever I can. I can go on but ... time for a song! POM! Power of Music!!

Boyz II Men - End Of The Road

Myrick Beasley @myrickbeasley3

Sung by a homeless man with a whole lot of talent.

This is legit, no AI or autotune. This man poured his heart out in this song. I am no fan of Boyz II Men, but this was a beautiful random moment in time. He sung the HELL out of this song.

As Elvis Presley once sung, "People, don't you understand, the child needs a helping hand. Or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day. Take a look at you and me, Are we too blind to see? Do we simply turn our heads And look the other way? Well, the world turns and a hungry little boy with a runny nose, Plays in the street as the cold wind blows.... and his hunger burns..."

Hopefully, this man gets help because he feel on some really hard times. Pay it back to someone in your neck of the woods....
For poverty doesn't only happen in the ghetto... it can happen in Santa Monica, and your neighborhood too.

Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto (World Turns Remix) Feat. Nardo Wick

Elvis Presley & Nardo Wick

Elvis knew pain. Elvis was different, and his perspective was different than most people of his day, especially among others in the South US. Elvis grew up in the poorest parts of the South during the Great Depression and Segregation. And he understood the very lowest depths of poverty. Only 4 white families on his block, he lived and played with black children while living in a 1 room shotgun shack without running water or electricity. His father built the home with a borrowed $150, then lost it because they couldn't afford to pay it back.

How poor was Elvis growing up? His twin brother Jesse Garon Presley was still born about 30 minutes before Elvis... and the Presleys were so poor that they couldn't afford a coffin, so Jesse had to be buried in a shoebox.

Elvis was uniquely born at a time and place, Tupelo (SHAKERAG) AND Memphis (BEALE STREET) when so much new music and dance were happening. He had a gift that soon would change American music forever. POM -- Power of music.
