I like both versions but good God Elvis injected some SWEET ROCK & ROLL into this live take!!

Dolly Parton. I am not a Country fan, by any measure, but I feel all heads must bow just for a moment to honor this lady and her music. She was a humanitarian and spread a message of love and togetherness that changed minds. Her work here on Earth is sadly done, but her legacy is just taking its hold. Elvis Presley is the only other musician | entertainer whose legacy exploded after death for all good reasons and I think the same thing will happen here.
But how interesting that 2 of the most famous people on Earth, did not want giant ritzy funerals after their passings. Just like Elvis, Dolly's work is now in the hands of the millenniums.

Kenny Rogers wrote this song for the passing of Waylon Jennings. Millions played this song during the passing of Elvis Presley and got in their feels, And Dolly sang it at the passing of Kenny.
