How many tokens should 1000 fragments yield? I suspect characters aren't the only thing that have gone missing in the DDO void of nothingness

I suspect you mean Tokens of the Twelve. So if my maths is correct that would be 10 tokens. I suspect you got had and the Token goblin absconded with some of your haul.

Also were the frags in the shared crafting storage?

Don’t keep anything of value in shared crafting especially things auto removed by various altars.

Never, ever, ever, ever craft out of the shared bank. Always put those things in main inventory.

I guess this is my punishment for successfully transferring my characters, guild etc across without any issue. The DDO voidspace of nothingness finally got me

When the 32 bit servers open again, create a toon on your old server to see if there is stuff still sitting in the shared crafting bank. After my first move, I found a ton of stuff in there that did not transfer. I loaded it into my inventory and moved it all that way.

Turns out they do!

Character creation is possible on the ghost servers. Doing dungeons isn't - you get kicked out the door with a message that the instance is locked.

A guildy found an old toon on Argo and attempted a transfer off using the Transfer Wizard with a message: 'There was an error: Network request failed etc, etc. Anyways, I would not transfer off the ghost worlds atm.

Come on folks, haven't we been here long enough to not trust SSG on day 1?
