I'm on a cleric, and despite having gotten all the way to 20 with straight darkness cores, that option can't be picked. It shows that i've met all the requirements, but the outline is still red and "accept" is greyed out.
That may be intended? Transcend Light is the one for the light path which unlocks the spells from the Dark path cores.
Transcend Darkness is the one for dark path which grants you the light path core spells.
