the idea is to cycle through the list several times might set back the schedual a bit to allow everyone ample oppertunities to transfer but it would be better than the bottleneck problem we have now. in theory. jst cutting down the transfer traffic so teh system can handle everything would actually speed things up i think. and i just gave an example Aa-Ao it could very well be a quarter of the population i just don't know the numbers we're dealing with or how much teh system can take before that bottleneck starts clogging up transfers

Sorry, I answered Warcandy and I beleive the open transfer for certain accounts is a terrible idea.

Yes and AA comes in EU times when Aaron form New Jersey is sleeping. Next time it is aligning with Perth (AU) time so again, he is sleeping but third time when it is in EST, he is working. So no transfer for Aaron.

Gameplay should be top 1 priority.
Issues with transfer should be solved after.
Whats the point in transfering when playing is impossible because of the numerous bugs happening?
Pause that thing again, fix the issues and find a way to prevent it from happening again. Only then resume transfers.
I bet forcing transfers when the inventory system barelly works will just end in more and more people pissed about stuff going missing and guess what? They will flood the support with tickets, which will result IN MUCH more work in the long term.

Looks like I napped at the right time.
"This" is only to clear the backlog for 32-to-64 transfer issues; nothing related to the overall game issues on Shadowdale & Thrane.
Since the transfer period exists through August 31st ... I hope we all get to play on the new servers (without major issues) before Labor Day.
As recommended in the Wiki, I created an alt in Shadowdale with my main toon's name to hold it and then tried to run "/changename (Newname)" after unpacking and deleting my alt, but I get the message "There was an error while renaming. The name you have selected is banned."
What can I do to get my name back?

If the named is banned you can't get it. You can put in a ticket and ask the name be reviewed.
Edit: You created a character with the same name and now that name is banned, or you created a character with the same name in order to force a name change to some other name and that other name is banned?

Things processed MUCH faster last (Monday) night than previously. I was able to get back into the Transfer wizard and transfer more characters from different servers in minutes Vs Hours as was previously the case.
I have now successfully moved all characters to their respective destination servers, but I didn't have any uber-completionists to transfer, so for those types I wish you the best.
