Trying to build an angel of death

Trying to build a drow - dual dagger wielder - Wraith shroud - Vistani - Assasin (and harper because its INT based). that is already spread very very thin so i gave up on EK and went with assasin imbue instead. anyone got an idea on how to build this? what should i give up on?

best i got is 11/9 WIZ/ROG. the idea is to kill mainly with daggers (with sneak and imbue dice as high as possible) while staying alive with everlasting death aura (so i got maximize, empower, extend and even intensify).

How can i improve it?

I like the Dark Apostate imbue (evil). DA (cleric) would provide you an alternative build... 8AP into DA provides Undead Form, the evil imbue and an extra die with Ghost Touch; 13 AP would add a further 2 dice and better survivability. A 14 DA/6 Rogue build, taking Protection Domain, would offer a more tanky version. Harm and Heal spells at lvl 11 DA. 6 AP into War Priest provides more defence and an extra imbue die. Starting stats: 28 point Drow (dual wielding) something like 8/16/14/16/14/10 and, if you don't have tomes, leveling up +1 DEX at some point, the rest into INT. Also remember that DA Undead form provides +2 WIS and +2 CON. Level 4 Cleric spell (iirc) Divine Power provides temp full BAB.

So you're gonna sneak with death aura?

Trust me. You need to put more thought and resources into surviving. Pure wiz, assassin gives you nothing. EK t5 rest in PM and Harper. 2 auras and NEB will keep you alive with the HP and defensive goodies in EK. Your dps comes from spell power and swing speed which is a Hella lot easier to increase on a wiz than Melee Power.

I recommend vampirism. As much as you can get. And wear medium - EK allows.

couple of thoughts,

1 death auras give up your sneaking as they damage those in close proximity
2 death auras are not boosted by maximize, empower, or intensify. to heal yourself effectively as a pale master, you need negative heal amp and negative spell power
3 your investment to get sustained healing auras is counterproductive against getting the melee power that you need to be an effective dagger wielder

i would recommend either going straight pale master as a wraith 20 wiz, and instakilling everything in heroics, or as a 20 rogue with the assassin capstone, and tier five in either or vistani, and running in shadowdancer in epics where you get the same look as being a wraith/shadow, but your dagger attacks are much more effective, and you can pick up a healing SLA from another destiny tree

assassination can be fun, but many groups are too fast to allow you to use it routinely, it pretty goof if you solo alot and cant handle large mobs

dont forget that sneak attack, a large portin of your rogue damage, is not about sneaking, it’s about not having aggro

This should be a flavorful Angel of Death. Not a dagger build because too much investment in Vistani required. You can use any martial weapon with Master's Touch early and then at level 3 you will get access to all martial weapons with Spellsword.

The Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack chain is almost purely for the active Spring Attack. I take Whirlwind Attack as low-hanging fruit at that point because it gives me a decent AoE attack with a 6 secnd CD. It's a good offensive resource but the real utility is getting away from a pack in a hurry if your health drops into the purple zone when Arcane Barrier triggers. If you don't want this ability then you have 4 non-Wizard feats to work with and can do something else perverse. You can also treat Dex like a dump stat in that situation and put 6 points elsewhere.

Note that this is most definitely not an endgame build but it is a 28 point build and it will do just fine in all content you are likely to enter. After you have some game knowledge and have mastered a good rotation it will do well solo at R1.

how you look is often really important for enjoying a game, old turbine devs never realized the money potential of this simple thing and never pushed on this. ssg is damaged by such short-sightedness and old stupid code. just consider how much money some companies irl are making out of this very obvious concept, the looks, LOL

btw, another option to be ghost-like is the shadowdancer mantle.

You don't have to take ANY vistani for daggers to excel. The first number on many melee strategies is often not the biggest. EK dice, imbue, ED stance dmg can be much bigger than weapon base dps roll.

Lady Vol is a Lich. She uses daggers.
