I was wondering if there was any chance that we could see an option to craft Legendary Forbidden Knowledge as the set bonus on lost purpose items, it would open up some nicer Tetris options for gear sets that don't use a (helm/cloak/chest) as their main 3 piece set.

Outburst: A Balor’s weapons in lore have always been vorpal.

Can we remove two of the three procs- maybe gnashing and maiming- and replace them with enhanced bloodrage and a higher tier of Sov Vorpal. Maybe call it Baloric Vorpal: give +1.0(w) and kill/do 5000 damage on a vorpal. Something along those lines. And bump up 6d6 lighting or replace that and keep gnashing.

Sword of a Balor should be amazing!

Thanks

For weapons, at least make the base damage better than what we have today
That won't happen. All weapons of a particular level and tier will have the same base damage dice. The only way we'll get this is when the level cap increases next year.

Sharn completed raid weapons are .5W higher than other items of the same level, and higher than ML31 Skeleton weapons. Remember, the only thing consistent about DDO is the inconsistency.

You should add Ring and Trinket.
In the new expansion pack, Rings do not drop.
In the new expansion pack, Trinkets for melee characters do not drop.

In the Ravenroft raid, the combination of Set Bonuses that couldn't be achieved in regular quests made Raid Items valuable.
Likely not going to happen.
Expansions since ravenloft have consistently not included a piece of equipment.
Ravenloft had no headwear, sharn had no trinkets, feywild and isle of dread have no goggles and vecna unleashed has no rings.
It's a consistent design decision.
I think the only exception was saltmarsh but also it's a very clunky set to gear for as you can't feasibly get 5 items optimal for a build in it without conflicting with 3 piece sets.

I would like to see a raid trinket that acts similarly to Gem of Many Facets.

1) Current gearing is quite boring and annoying having to reroll threads to get a perfect gem for every gearset. I also like having choices when deciding what pieces I want in each slot, and currently most if not all end-game builds require a gem (often a perfect gem). I think having a raid trinket that gives options for hybrid builds would be awesome. This would encourage classes and builds that require a myriad of stats. A prominent example that has been the focus of the past two updates is artificer: Arti requires not only ranged stats, but also caster stats for runearm and electric imbue damage. This would also necessitate a 4th gearslot for the 3p sets, which I think is better design on it's own. It is so annoying to be locked into using armor cloak and helm for the dread and Vecna 3p sets. Having a 4th item to allow flexibility would be awesome.

2) Rather than be an exact copy of GoMF, have one set randomly generated and the other craftable. Rolling perfect gems are a headache. Encouraging raiding by needing threads to reroll is great and I think should be kept, but a guildy of mine who has already spent 30k+ threads looking for his burning sun/elders gem with no luck is the example for why this system is bad. Instead a better system, I think, would to be to have one half of the sets be randomly generated and have the option to reroll, and the other half be crafted on top using mats.

That's an awesome idea but I'd say don't do the random aspect at all, let it drop with Forbidden on plus an empty set slot where you can use the ingredients to buy the Vecna set that you want. I spent about 20k Threads and 6 months re-rolling the gem I wanted only to have it nerfed a few weeks later, I was ready to explode! ?

I second this. Even if it needs to cost double or triple the normal amount of mats. I'd rather it not be random in the slightest. Otherwise it's a great idea.

They could add the SM spark to the raid loot tables like vod, lob, ma raids have a spark drop also a good reason to run the raid

Mini expansion loot feels misguided in that it is just weaker version of what we already have. What we could use are some things that open up new builds or ways to play. For example, something that makes magic missiles do 10x damage, or increases melee power by 100 with a great club equipped. A weapon or shield that is centered that a centered character wouldn't normally get to use. A throwing axe that enables IPS and PS to be on at the same time. A con to hit dwarven axe. A self-rebuilding pet docent. A medium armor with ooze gaurd, eidolan shadow gaurd, and two things that boost pets, for a weird tank-summons ES build. A set that makes falconry single target bird attacks go off passively. A piece of gear that automatically causes sniper shot to be used with hunts end if you have both off cool down and qualify to use same. Same for boulder's might + adrenaline. A set bonus where you gain PS stacks if your IPS only hits a single target.

This here is some loot, with the same stat values, but predetermined instead of customized stats of last expansion which makes it strictly worse. And it is fine to have worse, but it feels wasteful to have worse because being predetermined means it has an even smaller game space it is usable in.

A 4 piece 10% hp set augment would add longevity to the raid.

Edit: and a keen, double vorpal range bow with wisdom to hit/dmg for AA, with a bonus to enhancement value based on +enchant of the user. Ideally it would be nice to delevel the items to heroics and epic levels since we have tons and tons of legendary gear already, and it would allow leveling such a build 10>30.

I almost always want to disagree with everything you post. But this honestly a good take. It'd be nice to see wacky, niche, and interesting gear that completely changes the way abilities work or create new build dynamics.
