Hey, thx for taking time to share your build. I'm very interested, but have few experience with casters. Then I have a few doubts, especially about feats.
9 Stormsinger(9) Standard: Past Life: Arcane Initiate
Why Arcante Initiate instead of Spell Focus? I mean, since you get greater and epic, it would be better, right? Then instead of embolden, you could take epic spell focus for +3 enchantment or evocation...
18 Stormsinger(18) Standard: Heighten Spell
Does Heighten really worth the slot? If I'm not wrong it raises the spell DC to max slot you can cast, since bards only cast spell up to 6th, does it make that difference?
31 - 34 You take legendary toughness twice. This is because otherwise you would be too squishy? What would you like to take instead, if you could?

arcane inititate is very good because its 1 feat for the equivalent of all the spell focus feats. technically taking spell focus/specialty feats would get slightly more DCs, but i much preffered the hp from the 2 last destiny feats. i also found that my DCs werent really a problem, more reason to take the hp
i take heighten on a lot of casters because even if it gives 1-2 DCs thats still worth the feat because DCs are everything on a caster. maximizing DCs is the hardest part of a nuker so taking heighten is a good choice for a universal dc boost

i am waiting to see what stuff we will get this year as bard has not changed much since this build was posted. if any things change with caster bard, i will definitely be giving it another shot. since this build was posted, i have gotten all the needed md rare and raid items to make an updated gearset, but will use that if and when i play bard again
Stormsinger loses +4 dodge/saves/ac song, 3 atk/dmg for insp courage, and temp hp aura (up to twice cha *score*) vs regular bard, along with not being able to afford more than 1 point in warchanter.
They gain a lot of dps in the form of high lvl elec spells, lightning strike, and up to 70 more sonic/cold/elec spellpower and up to 10% elec/cold lore. They also get to take slas from both trees.
Both versions can dish out dps, cc, heals, and buffs. Stormsinger leans more into the dps side, regular spellsinger leans more towards buffs and heals.

i misread your post, my apologies. regular bard is worthless for dps, it is CC/buffs/healing. stormsinger is viable for dps, thus i will never switch to regular bard for a dps character

Hello, me again. Sry for reviving the thread, but about the gear. Why the small shield instead of buckler? Do you have something to reduce ASF?
Also, how many bones you need to craft all this stuff? I only have about 300 each...
Oh, almost forgot. About gem of many facets. It can be any set combination, right? I didn't see others set items for this. And you mention you can reroll the curse on it, I've never craft curses before, could you give me a little expalation, please?

for the first part, I used a small shield because that's what I had. as for the bones needed, it will cost 900 of each normal bone and 600 tyrannosaurus teeth. the small shield vs buckler doesn't really matter, except for the fact that I plan on updating the gearset at some point. when SSG fixes casters, I'll be doing caster bard again first thing with new updated gearset. the new shield I would use is palisade from threats Old and new
for 2nd part, epic gems of many facets can be rerolled for free at the legacy alter of epic rituals. the alter is down the path behind lahar in the 12. just put the gem in the alter and it rerolls it for free and removes curses. I used this to farm +2 cha curse for DCs. the set bonuses do not matter at all, just keep cursing and rerolling till you get what you want

Then you just miss opportunity add nice Elder's Knowledge set bonus, very useful for all casters. Roll until elders appears, curse, reroll if curse is bad. Slightly longer, better results. 8)

About the palisade from threats, it has 15% ASF, how you will reduce it? Also, if you will change the shield, will you change the rest of gear? Should I wait for it, since this gear demands a lot of effort?
It will sound really noob, but how do you curse the gear?
