Don’t brag.
I'm just saying what I learned in the 2,205 threads about loot drop percentages. I honestly don't agree with it and can't fathom how people think it's true. If it was true we'd certainly average at least 2-4 new raids a year.

How many heroic hp cloaks do you have?

It's really just math. You are free to disagree with it - I was shocked to run across a flat-earther that thinks the idea of a round earth is a big conspiracy. I am never sure how to respond when people believe such things despite actual evidence to the contrary.

The assumptions can't be verified with certainty unless the devs disclose it, but it's close enough that those won't significantly change the grind. The fact that SSG isn't willing to disclose the information is informative.

I'm not arguing that rare loot in MD is harder to get. I'm arguing that I don't see what that has to do with end game/elitist/R10 raiding people. I'm not sure how we link getting loot is harder to get to it. If I wanted say the Armor of the crownblade how does making it harder to get help me in R10 raids exactly? If anything I want at the least the base version to be easier to get via means such as trading or xpack/quest line tokens so that if I have bad luck at least I can get the base version and apply a reaper bonus to it or at least have the base effects that made me want the armor or piece of gear in the first place.

What is the base version of the spell critical chance sun augment? I mean this is applicable to nearly every casting build and has roughly a 1 in 800 chance of dropping.

I mean what I said would apply to the augments if the devs wanted to ie a trading system or some sort of tokens you could trade Y amount of them for something in the pack. It's possible they want the augments to be rarer than the gear such as the armor I mentioned and if they made a system you could trade X of something for something else they wouldn't include the sun/moon augments who knows. Either way I don't see how making that rune or any rune "super rare" helps people who want to do R10 raids or whatever they consider endgame that others consider being a powergamer/elitist or whatever fun madeup term we want to label them with.

Gotcha. I got one on my 534th chest pull. In that time, I could've had 10 Jibz.

That's what people are complaining about, fyi.
Again I totally understand that some of this 'rare' stuff may be too rare. What I fail to see is how you connect this to people who are supposedly elitist and whales and whatnot. If I'm not mistaken people who do R10 raids WANT their gear probably more than other people to get to their optimal setup to have the best chances to beat said R10 raids or whatever we consider the 'elitist' content.

My man, we were knocking out R6 raids on first-life toons with no tomes or raid loot. You might be the only one associating the new loot with getting end-game content done.

There's more of a connection between laying out a bunch of money to purchase the new expansion and then being unable to get the loot you want even after spending the same money again on re-rolls (and eye-bleeding grind).

You may be right that I'm reading this wrong. That being said I am pretty sure I have read that people think this low drop percentage thing was done to appease or cave into the power gamers which I don't understand why power gamers would want this other than to say I got this piece of loot and someone else didn't. Which may be true but I don't consider those people elitist or power gamers I would consider them something else entirely don't have a good word for it currently.

That's because there's a few people who seem to blame all sorts of stuff as excuses for why the drop rates are the way they are (and there's even some folks who don't care about the loot at all but think its funny that those who do have a harder time making gear sets with MD loot & want them to spend more money on it). None of the "power gamers" I know want exclusive loot to force a gap; they want others to be able to run whatever content/difficulties they enjoy within reasonable time frames. Anyone who uses and cares about their gear will be effected by the extreme rare MD stuff; it doesn't matter what level of game play one plays at, the loot will be harder to tetris out with rare augments involved.

This all makes sense now.

Some of that content may not be viewable to me anymore.

It's not, the people saying that are idiots. it's that simple.

I want everyone to have reasonable access to loot so they suck less when they join my groups.

Back on topic, this is about the raid not the god awful drop rates in MD (which going forward stands for Miserable Drop-rates)

I may start communicated only in memes going forward. Do not make me invoke Harambe.

Yeah making something an HP sponge does not always equate to making it more difficult or fun. I am happy they gave this dracolich more abilities to make it more unique as all raid bosses should definitely not just be reskins of existing mobs.

To be fair I fully expect the awful drop rates to carry over into the raid.
I have never pulled anything except a shield and a greatclub from fire over morgrave. Because of runes, I have two items that I want from that raid. So even if the rate is worse than fire over morgrave, as long as it still drops runes, the drop rate on raid loot will be rather inconsequential.
