For first life test (Chaosmancer pure Warlock - i had a level 15 AotS build ready) and the limited AP, reaper xp, EDP, and gear (Cormyr) i changed a few things regarding the excellent build guide; the issue us mere mortals have is that we don't have a trillion rxp and a chest full of pertinent raid items in our banks, so gear wise it will be the best I can do at start with a plan to farm better items.
32 point build 8/8/16/14/8/20
I have a +8 supreme tome. Skills: Perform, Spellcraft, Heal, Search and Spot (I forget about hidden doors and traps all the time and locating hidden enemies is always good); 10 into Jump, 1 into Tumble and UMD.
CM 17 AP (lose deflect arrows, evasion and speed, gain sonic spell power and 4 CHA)
TS 41 AP
SE 5 AP
VKF 6 AP
FI 15 AP
I could of course dump FI and go deeper into SE and grab the cone, but I chose FI for perma shield spell (freeing up level 1 spell slot) and +3 spell penetration; I had originally planned not to spend 6 AP in VKF and less AP into SE and more into FI to get +2 CHA and more spell crit but Deflect Arrows makes me sleep better at night.
Feats:
Quicken, Maximize, Enlarge, SF Evo, GSF Evo, SF Conj and Shield Proficiency (with -15 ASF augment costing 20 Tokens and Ettercap Incursion Large Shield)
Followed Epicsoul's advice, dropped EA and went back to PA ... my plan is
SC 37 EDP (mantle, strike, moment)
PA 15 EDP (sky, heart, T2 aoe heal)
FS 17 EDP (+3 spell pen)
Epic feats
Epic Blast die, Epic Pact die, Embolden, Epic Sonic Power, Epic SF Evo, Harbinger of Chaos, GSF Conj, Scion Fey, SS (Conj), Epic SF Conj, SS (Evo)
If i were to get filigrees to work +1 imbue into my toon, i'd swap out Harbinger for Epic Force spell power or maybe Titan's Blood if I decided to take Harbinger at level 34 instead of 28 (doubtful).
At level 25, low reaper, damage and cc work nicely and relatively fast (not perfect but not at all struggling either), and heals are good.
This version uses chain not cone with physical blast damage. Will soon have -105 threat no items.
I plan to keep shield (+15% health) until i get round to farming more iod comps (i need a lot for this build alone plus the +6 SF augments drop fairly regularly). Ultimately 2 non-attuned Dino weapons with the 1k temp health proc (oops for the name) and IOD legendary ice. 3pc Vecna set, 5 pc Vecna set, IOD minor artefact (sonic crit damage), Legendary SM sonic ring and Legendary Shavarath ring and last piece will be (prob) Cannith crafted to get some insightful spell power. Once I have all this (I have most items in bank), then start farming MD to improve gear set (and running raids). Will probably also Epic TR 3 times if I see this "project" as worthwhile to grab +9 spell critical chance (sonic only).
