U75 Preview 2: Lamordia Loot

Spent 6 hours destroying loot to empty caches in order to transfer to lag free servers.
Nothing here makes me want to waste bag space on them.

Had more lag in my last 3 play sessions than in the last 3 years.
I'm exhausted. I can have fun playing other games, I can't playing DDO.

First expansion I won't be buying.

The level 8 Jet Propulsion item should be a nice swap-in if you dont have Chaosmancer past lives. Having just 1 "jump" can be vary handy in some quests.

The level 34 trinket with +20% hp might offer some new possibilties. My tank may go from heavy armor + tower shield to medium armor and heavy shield for more dodge using that trinket.

Apart from that the rest looks uninteresting to me - but it all depends on the new Lamordian augments I guess. Those are not in the preview?

yah, the trinket is one of the few things that looks exciting

edit: didn't realize the heroic boots also give the jet propulsion... that's pretty cool too

I didn’t spot any items with Extra Smites on it unless I missed it. Nor Legendary Paralyzing was hoping to streamline my Vanguard build. Impact, bashing and Shield bashing combo is hard to give up, there was nothing along those MD either. I still think adding rings as either Sun/moon augment slots would got a lot more in the direction to recreating Set bonuses

I didn't see anything in level 8 range worth getting except maybe the boots. I'm sure people who gear every few levels might, but I don't see anything that much better than feywild.

One or two powerful rareish drops each quest would be infinitely better to what loot is now. At least augments go in bags.

Honestly if they'd just come up with 15 cool unique augments and 5 rare cool unique augments and let them drop in every chest, that would be so much better.

All the gear , except a couple (SoP on a level 8 is sweeeeeet), is absolutely TERRIBLE.

Regretting buying this.

Cosmetics are OK though. Like the more “realistic” approach to the art.

The best stuff seems to be for Warlocks - they get a bunch of bonus pact and blast dice options in gear now. Makes sense since the Iconic is Warlock

I'm surprised there's only one(?) item to support Negative casting though, in a death-themed expansion

Has someone posted what the craftable augments offer to fill them with...?

It's unfortunate that new loot as of late doesn't add anything new. Calling this all new is quiet misleading. No new effects or mechanics, and how they made the items overall worse than MD is the most impressive thing about the loot.

Why are there items with 2 primordial slots and nothing else, then another item in the same slot with 2 effects and the same 2 primordial slots? Who would wear an item that has 2 LESS effects on it?

"Chat gtp, make me an expansion pile of items like isle of dread, but a level or two higher"

this is funny because it is true.

using bits of the IOD system (wildly successful) and keeping on going on the MD path (utter failure) is not going to make us love the new MD-and-beyond loot philosophy.
