It is also of vital importance for us to know whether each attempt has the exact same chances of rolling each possible result as every other attempt.

For example, if Myth Drannor Treasure Picker Boxes only become available on rolls 6-10, that needs to be communicated.
When I gave things a try I only did 3 picks and got non-card pulls:
  1. None (would have been a Mythic/Reaper Dust)
  2. Fragmented Constitution Tome
  3. Myth Drannor Treasure Picker Box

While that's good info, it still doesn't verify that the distribution is exactly the same across all attempts.

We could get a double bonus Remnant boost on the Weekends and a free Lesser Boost x3 with a Coupon of the Week code and that could help offset and bring Better Will to those that didn't collect rems, while not wasting their XP pots these past few months.

Remember since this preview is an incomplete reward list that you get nothing this preview instead of one of the missing items, until they are added in a future preview.
At this point if they haven't already read this somewhere, they're not going to get it lol

He will only allow any account to trade a maximum of 10 times per month.
Just to clarify it: I assume it's account, not server-based.

Will it be possible to participate on multiple servers? If so, will the cost be preserved across multiple worlds?

Example: I use 4 attempts on Moonsea. Will the cost at Cormyr start at 100 or 2500 remnants?

I personally have 80 full stacks of rems and another halfish stack. In fact I made a rem toon to hold them all as my shared crafting bank was at capacity. The biggest thing that disappointed me was getting cards for 100k rems after getting the MD box for 5k...it seems to me, they should weigh the larger rem cost more toward reaper boost/tomes etc. at that level cost. :)

This right here is why we don't have 64->64 transfers yet... And why they won't ever be free when we do

My immediate first economics thought is that this event is going to completely nuke the p2p market for cards, unless the cleansers are pretty common to offset supply with more demand

Though it shouldn't be weighted by cost - we don't want to favor whales over new chars

Looking at my bank, I only have about 10K remnants, but I have those earmarked for expensive upgrade times and augments. I'm not very keen on gambling away chunks of them.

I do have several large stack of "threads of fate" though. I would love to be able to turn those in for something similar - perhaps even as an alternative to the remnant trade-in this event provides.

A long time ago, Epic scrolls were changed so they are automatically picked up instead of dropping on the floor.
Could Mysterious Remnants be changed to an auto pickup system as well?

Even when they drop, they often do not appear right away because of lag or performance issues, so they are easy to miss.
And honestly, the act of manually picking them up is very tedious.

More importantly, items left on the ground for a long time, even if they eventually disappear, can cause lag, right?
I think it would also help reduce network traffic.

I agree with this but don't think it goes far enough. The first 7 boxes each month comes out to 19,400 rems. Over the year that's 232,800 remnants.

The 8th box is 25,000 or another 300,000.
The 9th box is 50,000 or another 600,000.
The 10th box is 100,000 or another 1.2M.

The proposal here would put the first 7 boxes at 15,850 rems. Over the year that's 190,200 remnants.

The 8th box is 16,000 or another 192,000.
The 9th box is 32,000 or another 384,000.
The 10th box is 64,000 or another 768,000.

In total... the current system requires 2,332,800 remnants. The proposed change here would still require 1,534,200 remnants. Yes, it's a serious reduction (798,600), but it still leaves the same issue with the amounts overall. If you assume players want to participate and need would need to farm 100,000 remnants each month to get the full reward list, and assuming folks get 100 remnants per quest (YMMV depending on difficulty and which quests you're running), that's 1,000 quests per month. That's 32-36 quests per day, assuming you play DDO every day. In the current system that assumes you are already sitting on a stockpile of 1.13M remnants when the event starts. Even with the proposed change, you would need a stockpile of 300K+ remnants at the start of the event, and then grind at the values above to even come close to hitting the numbers required.

Does the amount for 7 chests seem reasonable? Overall, for my amount of playtime and current remnant collection, I would say "yes". I also agree you don't NEED to get 10 boxes from the event each month. That isn't the point. This is a special event for DDOs 20th anniversary and feeling like you're leaving significant rewards on the table (36 boxes throughout the course of the year) takes something that should be a "feel good/thank you for playing for 20 years" moment and turns it into a mixed bag of feelings of excitement for what the 84 boxes might hold, and extreme disappointment in the way the event was executed.

Here is what I would propose instead:

attemptmonthyearsum
11001,2001,200
22503,0004,200
35006,00010,200
47509,00019,200
51,00012,00031,200
61,50018,00049,200
72,00024,00073,200
83,00036,000109,200
96,00072,000181,200
1010.000120,000301,200

This would mean the most a player would need to farm in a single month to get full rewards would be 25,100 remnants. Assuming 100 remnants per quest... that's 8-9 quests per day which seems much more reasonable (to me) for the average player. If you want this to be a "feel good" moment for the players while still having a cost/or a remnant-themed event, please consider adjusting the cost down significantly.

Thank you if you read this feedback.
