The Unspeakable Power (orb) has necromancy focus, Insightful Nullification, and... quality acid crit damage? Seems like a mistake.

The Butcher's Mind has Moonlit Haunt spellpower + lore, but the quality crit damage is only force?

I'm sure you'll tell me it's because of how effects scale, but The Unbreakable Divinity seems pretty weak for a raid item. You can get Extra Smites +3 on a level 29 item.

The Sixth Toe of the Shadow King seems like it's worse than both lootgen and the gloves from the expansion. I guess it opens up more tetris options, but it doesn't feel very "raid loot-y".

The new cloak doesn't seem to have a visual appearance when you wear it yet.

New helms look neat and useful for their intended audiences (melees and tanks).

Why does the medium armor only have 5% Legendary Conditioning?

I don't have much to say about the weapons other than that they look like there's an intent to make bludgeoning weapons useful coming down the road. They look worse than the last 3 raid's worth of weapons.

A lot of the items don't look like they are scaling properly. Like the rune arm only gives 2% insightful crit. It also only charges up to level 3, instead of level 5, etc.

Also the instakill effects on the caster weapons really need a buff. 3400 hps is totally useless on a small percentage chance proc. The enemies we fight will barely be in that range for any time so at absolute best these items are just a 7d20 non scaling damage proc for a whole 140 damage vs enemies with a minimum of 40k health.

I would suggest they just autoproc if you hit something below the health threshold instead of being a small chance, and raise the health threshold considerably.

Orb - lv11, new orbs after Brimstone that has LGS effect is nice, not sure they are all negative related and still no melee orb yet.
The unspeakable sceptre + power would give quite a thematic combo.

Weapon - look quite nice, good to see new effects themed with the demon lord.
We have a new best qstaff which has blunt trauma. Sadly it is made of steel. Can Jublex's power has other special material.
New blunt trauma maul which might beat The Shattering Death
I agree the qstaff and bow should give lingering acid.

The Diadem of Rot - Improved Demonic Shield > Legendary Demonic Shield

The Volley's Aria - AA need a boost, this item can help but not much. as a quote, a dps archer using the new paralyzing bow works better than AA tree.

The Prince of Demons - Melee Alacrity > Shadow Striker, Legendary Conditioning +5% > 15%. Colorless slot > Yellow slot.

The sixth toe of the shadow king - At this stage we should just have quality spell focus +3

The unbreakable divinity - Legendary deadly +2 > +3, Colorless slot > Yellow slot.

The unspeakable maw - insightful spell lore +2 > +5 at least, just 1 green slot?

Hey Tolero - the list is missing like 50% of weapons and items. Are they coming in preview-2? Also why are we not able to add stats (primary, insightful, quality) to these items?
The current state is worse than ML32 raid items from Threats of Old and New - what happened, did the dev/loot team went for a vacation or something?

The item Unbreakable Divinity has +15 Hallowed. We have a turn undead item already in this expansion with Hallowed. The effect 'Temperance of Spirit' fits the item thematically and we haven't had one of those items in ~2 years I think.
The Diadem of Rot has Natural Armor on it. The new suite of armors and several other recent items have Natural Armor as well. Rough Hide would be a better option I think, it is a primal bonus to Armor Class. There are not many sources of that bonus in the game at the moment.

  1. Any chance to fix The Unbreakable Divinity instead of having Hallowed have Extra Lay on Hands like Lindal's Belt? Turning undead is not effective in the endgame.
  2. It would be great if The Prince of Demons, instead of Seeker, had Insight Seeker; we already have many sources of Seeker, or it could have any other effect.
  3. Diadem of Rot could use Legendary demonic shield instead of improved.
  4. The Queen of Rot: maybe quality fortification?
  5. The Skull of the Horned King: maybe profane double strike?
  6. Echo wand of Orcus: the Orcus magic nightmares maybe to 5000 HP?
  7. The Faceless Lord Reach: maybe instead of Legendary Slime, have Vulnerability or Legendary vacuum?
  8. The Sixth Toe of the Shadow King: maybe Legendary Spell Focus +2? ( Quality enchantment Focus+3 and Quality Spell Focus Mastery +2: same bonus?)

Glanced at lammania, I didn't see anything I'd really want to upgrade to. I'm down for the gear not obsoleting previous content, but these are currently feeling like downgrades instead of sidegrades - it'd be nice if there was a slot worth of customization on the items at least.

Hmm. First impressions are a bit underwhelming compared to some of the fantastic items we got in the expansion.

1. Weapon Effects
  • Baphomet's Tactics - I don't care for the passive bonus to tactics, and players have vocalized many times our boredom with tiny damage 7d6 effects, especially with such narrow parameters.
    • Suggestion: Bosses and mobs that are knocked down receive a -10% armor class debuff for x seconds.
  • Yeenoghu's Butcher - See above
    • Suggestion: Bosses and mobs that are paralyzed have their fortification reduced by 15% for x seconds.
2. Armor Pieces
  • The Diadem of Rot - nothing unique about it for a raid item
    • Suggestion: Improved Demonic Shield --> Quality Armor Mastery +x (found on Boots of the Blessed Travels only)
  • The Queen of Rot
    • Suggestion: Raid items should have Resistance, not Fortitude +14.
  • The Skull of the Horned King - Insightful Resistance is lame in my opinion
    • Suggestion: Insightful Resistance --> Exceptional Seeker +x (fixed with this patch, would be nice to include)
  • Volley's Aria - Not sure what the goal is here.
    • Suggestion: Insightful Enchantment Focus +7 --> Power of the Frozen Thunderstorm Lore
  • The Prince of Demons
    • Suggestion: Legendary Conditioning 10%
  • The Sixth Toe of the Shadow King
    • Suggestion: Quality Enchantment Focus +3 --> Exceptional DCs +2
  • The Unbreakable Divinity - Please please no Hallowed +15
    • Suggestion: Hallowed --> Temperance of the Favored: For every 4 religious lore feats, gain +1 damage with favored weapons.
  • The Unspeakable Maw - We literally just got an acid rune armor with the expansion quests. Please PLEASE make this electric. I don't care about being thematic.
    • Suggestion: Insightful Spell Lore II (wrong value anyway for item level) --> Legendary Ash (like orb)

Giving the loot another look over, I agree with others that you should include the Nearly Complete stuff on these items. It would gives some of these items the boost that they need. Many of them are sort of bland for raid loot. I'd assume the Nearly Complete bonuses would be a tad higher on these than the Legendary quest items. Just some thoughts:
Sixth toe of the Shadow King. Drop quality spell focus +2 and add Nearly Complete Spell Focus.
The Queen of Rot. Drop fortitude +14 and add Nearly Complete Ability Score.
The Shadow Lords Arcana. Drop Enchantment Focus and add Nearly Complete Spell Focus.

Any chance to remove the forced ooze off the staff for another LGS effect, or add the ability to add dust? Staves still coming out at 1d6+6 already put them a fair bit behind other THF weapons for base dice. Lowering it's ability to have a higher LGS multiplier from dust makes this item disheartening, even with blunt trauma. The previous two raid staves already have DoTs on them, along with LGS crafting slots, insofar as the Undying Age has slightly higher [W] with its sovereign vorpal as well.
