tbf it could be 50d6 and it'd still be garbage. 100d6? That'd be a 2~5% (they won't tell us the % right?) chance to do at absolute best, 600 damage, at lv 35. That's like a greataxe crit at lv 3 lol.
For comparisons sake, LGS/MA had 1% chance to do thousands of damage in 2015/ and later, and Fire over Morgrave, from 2023, had effects doing 10d440 with a CC effect accompanying them and those had long since become redundant before this expansion.

Monster and especially raid boss hp has gone up by a lot. Quest bosses sometimes have 600-800k like the Beholder in Hideous to Behold, even dragons with 1-1.4 million hp like in the new House K chain. If these procs are to matter vs the monsters their instakill/cc don't work against, they need a complete change in mindset - not even talking about raid bosses like Karliath and the combined hp pools of marilith/red wizards/portal keepers/...

These small flat numbers are an order of magnitude wrong for endgame content and adjusting them upward slightly won't make them more relevant. Even when Isle of Dread was new and we had the combination crafts with element dmg for 15d6 + a bypass of choice, the elemental damage portion of the craft was ~irrelevant and that was before all the HP bloat of the past 3 years.

If it scaled, maybe 100d6 would be useful but doubt it.

Looks like the dagger is still stuck partway between being a melee and a caster item. If it's meant for casters replace metalline with something useful for a caster. If it's meant as a melee item replace ash with dust, not vacuum.

The caster sticks, having
1. a 30 second cooldown
2. a hp limit on their effect
AND
3. a saving throw
means they dont do anything
Weapons can have underpowered flavor effects but they NEED to at least work.

Having an effect that literally never works is just incompetence.
Make it a 10% chance to drain3lvls done.
No nonsense and enemies will still recuperate in seconds making it horribly weak but at least it will actually happen and you might get a sound, a visual cue and an evil feeling inside for draining stuff.

"Legendary Conditioning on The Prince of Demons has increased to 10%. Higher than that is reserved for Shields, Artifacts, and items that increase Threat."
... except for the Heartshard lol.
My only guess its because its a rare tier item, so we have to die farming

Still the loot table seems underwhelming at best and outright disappointing at worst. I love when we get new raids. A new powerful set of items to grind to go and build around a new toon. Here nothing really catches my eye. There's some things that seem fine but nothing screams I need to run this 8 times when it comes out on the same day.

So I ask again please add something to make it worth running.

Ideas:
- Add a some mythic and reaper dust you can get. Easy simple and people would run it just for that.
- A new bonus of some kind. Call it devotion to a demon lord. Maybe it applies to only your armour and weapon. Have it that you can only have one devotion at a time or you start taking damage. (similar to LGS items as an idea). What could this be some sort of staking bonus that feels thematic to the demon lord and fits to the common play styles.
- +9 tomes
- Augments that you can craft from the loot.
- Cool mount

Honestly anything to make it worth running. We will still all run it but the question is why. Its the 20th anniversary of DDO and as an idea of giving us a what if you battled all the demonlords is cool, but you don't want people to end up asking for the WHAT IF raid where we actually get good loot.

runearm still has 2% insightful spell lore while the standard for insightful spell lore has been at 5% since Echo of the Tome of Strahd, let's not forget that Pomura's Memento from Hunt or Be Hunted can be turned into an augment for 5%.
Either bump up the insightful spell lore to 5% or replace it entirely, hell even at 5% it's covered by an incredibly popular augment already.

  • Legendary Conditioning on The Prince of Demons has increased to 10%.
  • Melee Alacrity on The Prince of Demons has been replaced with Profane Well Rounded +3.
  • The six accessories in this Raid have gained one of Nearly Complete: Ability Score or Nearly Complete: Insightful Ability Score, in addition to their other effects.
  • The Unspeakable Maw now has Legendary Ash in addition to its other effects.

Those are nice changes!

This Item should be thematic:

Echo of the Wand of Orcus

  • Spellcasting Implement +35
  • +16 Enhancement Bonus
  • Orcus Negation: (This should be a D.O.T. of): A black ray of crackling negative energy suppresses the life force of any living creature it strikes, giving an enemy 2d4 negative levels every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
  • Power of the Blight +169
  • Insightful Nullification +84
  • Orcus' Magic: Legendary Nightmares (if your target has fewer than 5,500 Hit Points, a burst of pure terror emanates from this weapon, snuffing out its life )
  • Orcus' Inprisoned Soul: Forces a creature's life force and its material body into a gem on a failed Will save.
    • Orange Augment Slot
    • Purple Augment Slot

This item is suppose to kill its foes.

Poor poor wand of Orcus is better suited to buttering your bread than to snuff out the lives of all living things and bind the Material Plane in the stasis of undeath.

The Butter Knife of Orcus! Fear it!! Kneel before Butter.
