Yeah, I'm getting that too. Also couldn't log into the SSG account management site using one of my DDO accounts. Can log into LOTRO.

I mean, not having 24/7 staff to deal with every random thing does suck when you're in a time zone that means you're playing when the main dev team is sleeping, but that is the situation we are in. The first reports of this issue happened in what for the devs would be the middle of the night. It sucks, but I think it's a bit silly to mock devs for being asleep during their normal sleeping hours when it started. It sucks, but sleeping during the night is not "malicious incompetence".

I mean, not having a maximum service downtime of 4 hours is not an unremarkable fail, though.

another thread reporting this too. Just had it say searching for login server it went through 20 attempts then failed.

It's a service that takes people's money from multiple time zones (whether it's VIP subs or store purchases or both). Therefore they should at least have some automated monitoring of their services, along with the ability to notify an on-call engineer if there's a major outage like this one.

You can't defend devs "being asleep during their normal sleeping hours" when their revenue comes from around the world.
