Uncentered + Enhanced Ki?

Does anyone know if being "uncentered" effects Ki generation -- passive or active? The only information about uncentered Ki seems to be that it applies a Ki-4 drain, but there's no data on the rate (guessing per 2~3s).

Wiki has a note about Ki bar being unable to be refilled, but this is incorrect; GMOF:Inner-Focus can refill it, though it starts draining again when uncentered. Does it instead mean that you can't regenerate via hits and crits?

Are Enhanced Ki +X items affected by uncentered?

I can do things others can't...
Yes, Enhanced Ki +X items are indeed affected by being Uncentered. You will NOT be able to generate any Ki whilst Uncentered, even if you have a total of +10 Ki per hit.

The only reason the Grand Master of Flowers (GMoF) Inner Focus can fill it, as can Orchid Blossom (at a lower amount), is because those abilities were created to generate Ki on use and also are not impacted by the Centered state (hence why they were being used by armoured characters).

Thanks! Saved me from some tedious testing there. :)

OP: It should and I bow to j1ng for confirming.

Monk needs to be centered. It's a class thing... and Ki is exclusive to monk (for now.)

There are a fair number of builds that can run uncentered and use ki to very good effect. Ki is not exclusive to monk. GMOF gives it to everyone. I simply wanted to figure out how much of a hassle it is to run one.

I was hoping it would be as easy as stacking up enhanced ki above the drain rate, but no luck there. Looks like GMOF fillers are the only way. :(

How fast is the uncentered drain rate? Maybe you could be centered between fights then swap?
Ki-4 is the only data point I have, but tick rate is unknown. IIRC, it's about 2s.

The gear-swap idea does kinda work, but only for questing and only if not swapping armor. I was pondering non-cloth & raid.

There are personal taste issues, too; I hate swapping gear in DDO. The UI rather goes out of it's way to break immersion on swaps. I'll cheerfully swap entire sets if the UI handled it; eg. in FFXI I'd swap full gear sets mid combat to optimize each skill use.

Full swap (especially armor) sounds absurdly silly and immersion breaking, but it turns out not so. It only breaks conceptual immersion (ie. when talking about it). When playing, what breaks immersion is a clunky UI that interrupts flow or makes you watch CDs instead of action.
