+2% strikethrough isnt the same as +2% doublestrike or doubleshot or offhand strike. It just doesnt make sense to me.
I agree. It should be +5% or +10% strikethrough and 5% on offhand strike chance. That at least gives value to those two.

+2% doublestrike/doubleshot is universal appeal. But strikethrough and offhand strike are very specific values that have to be balanced for their actual purpose, not given the same numerical value as the generalist boost.

Hello everyone!

This Lamannia contains a preview of a new item: The Deck of Many Curses! Collect cards to make Decks, and then use those decks to apply mysterious Curses to your equipment! To obtain Cards and try out the Deck of Many Curses, visit the Test Dojo.

An Important Note: While text is in for everything related to this feature, not quite everything works yet. That said, if you see something that doesn't work, feel free to let us know anyway - Better to know too much than not enough. Additionally, before this feature goes live, aspects may be added or removed.

Feel free to discuss this feature here!
Please allow us to over-write curse aspects so if we roll a bad one we can farm cards again for re-rolling instead of farming the base item AND the cards. Please don't make another system only for top 1% who have the time to access this.

I haven't had time to head into Lam yet, but does multiple copies of the same Curse stack when it's on different items? Because that'll instantly make that +2% realistic when you have 12 Item slots where you can (if it was higher, say 5%) become +60%.

J1NG
Given that some of the bonuses are +1-2 to an ability I’d certainly think they DON’T stack (+14-28 for a perfect set would be a bit much). From what I gather these are tiny extras that shouldn’t really make or break a build.

I have tried this system out, and it feels like a worse version of Dragon Touched.

I randomly pull a card and assign it to my Equipment, You know a Reaper/Mythic item I spent month farming to get (+1 to my Necromancer Rolls) on my barbarians Great Axe.
I cannot remove or replace? At least you could replace on Dragon Touched.
This system as it stands is useless to me.

Not a fan of another +1 to attack and damage. Please bump it to +5 if applied on a legendary weapon.

I have been shuffling cards for a while now and basically, its RNG. What you see in the window is not what you get when you curse your item. (as previously mentioned).

This is basically a roll of the dice...and there could be hundreds of boosts...

What I think:
  1. incentivizes you to keep all loot duplicates you pull. Say you have a certain belt and you want to use these cards, but dont want to screw up your build by adding something like +20% threat to your non-tank build (as mentioned by Ying), you are not gonna pass that item you just got, and try and see if you get something cool. if not, rinse and repeat.
  2. you burn through a deck of cards fairly quickly (I would assume). Its a crapshoot as to what you get (or are willing to take a chance on)
  3. It is fun, but it is really luck of the draw
What I would do I make these so you can remove them. If you do this, it eliminates the issues mentioned above.

I'm liking the look of this in principle, but given that certain effects are actively punishing on some sets of builds, and we know that there's at least one thing on the list which is actively a debuff (the Stone one), there ought to be some way to remove a negative effect, even if you can't then replace it.

Farming for these things is going to be enough of a bother already, so ideally we don't want a situation where you do all the hard work only for your item to be made worse...

They don't stack. The curses are all Fortune bonuses.

Can these be applied to quivers? I might have to find a quiver if so ?

Could be an easy way to fish for a specific curse.
SSG would have to release a new quiver, something not done since Ravenloft 6 years ago.

Hey guys,

I went through 30 decks of cards and recorded the before and after. What I have found is that there are 2 versions of each "curse". For example, you can get +10 Universal SP, and +4 Universal SP. You can get +2 Range Power and +5 Range power. You can also get +1/+2 versions of each individual Ability, as well as +1/+2 to 3 abilities at once (I assume there is a +2 version here though).

What I also found is that out of the 30 shuffles, it looked like the chance of getting something is about 1.7%-2% (small sample, but it was pretty consistent). I ended up with 45 different attributes out of 60 potential within my 30 shuffles. (again, small sample).

Some were "good trades" and others were not so good (example, deck 23 showed +5 melee power, and when I crafted, I ended up with +1 search...ouch)

Also, take note of Deck 17...traded it in and got weight of stone...so, basically stone shoes...yuck!

Anyway, RNG is alive and well...and risky...and...unpredictable. lol

No. You can put it on Starter gear, and random gen loot.
hey this is cool, I like it.
In 6 months the best of the cards will be listed on build gear here along with the extravagant racial past lives, reaper points, and destiny points.
