not a fan of the dragon breath nerf. its an end game dragon spell, it should be overpowered, it fits thematically. this is a PvE game, so nerfs in general seem strange. why not just make all the useless things useable? if a bigger point investment is required that seems like a fine change but just straight up kneecapping the damage is odd.

carrion swam change also sucks, again other epic strikes should just be buffed to be in line with carrion swarm/dragon breath, nerfing makes no sense in a game like this.

not happy about tumbling being removed either. just seems like yall are against fun

I think we could probably do that, but I'm worried that'd end up with, like, a LOT of threads. The big thing I'm looking to solve is that newcomers to the thread aren't seeing our dev responses. I hate to commit to this since it's a TON of work but I'm wondering if I should be editing the original post with links or something when we make feedback-based adjustments?
That would be MUCH appreciated. If the forums could put a 4-hour time lock between posts/replies in certain threads, I would 100% support that for Lamannia Preview threads as well.

Thank you very much for the QoL spell targeting fix. Seriously huge impact. Excited for that to hit live.

Even just splitting them up by the destiny spheres could help break up the discussions. There's quite a lot to discuss in this single thread.

The summary of your rebuttal:

"EA is garbage and people should use other destinies"

...is not a solution. If EA is going to have one of its best features removed, and as long as they are overhauling the tree so drastically anyway, then other aspects need to be fixed and/or bumped up to compensate for the loss. What is Exalted Angel? Is it a healing tree? It fails at that. Is it a damage tree? Not really good at that either. Support? No. Crowd control? No.

Yeah this is the problem with EA. Have mentioned this a couple times here.

Who is this for? And where is the tree for HEALERS?

This tree (even in the old ED system) is trying to do too much in one tree, and it sucks at all of them now. Going back to your previous post "but it's ok because the mantle was good" .......that is 100% spot on. But now without the mantle I'm spending points in EA because ............... I want wings I guess?

If they want to make EA a divine DPS caster tree, fine. But HEALERS need a tree. Most are in the TANK tree as their primary tree.

And it sure seems like all player feedback for this change, is being ignored, nor is any reason given for why this change needed to happen.

It really is a lot of work, yes. I think it would be more practical for you to simply edit the first post with the modification you have made, putting an [Updated] or something like that next to it so that it is known that it is not the original version.

Links are not necessary, they could really consume a lot of your time. And your time is valuable.

So basically restrict my access to the game or at the very least play with a limited static group in order to cater to your desire to be OP? That's what you're telling me. It's insane. This is insane.
I'm just saying if you want to enjoy the game, find a way to enjoy it instead of finding things to complain about. What's insane about that?

Until recently I've soloed through dungeons for years, slogging through lives alone because my static groups bailed and pugs were basically non-existent on my server, and yet I still found ways to have fun. Since HC8 I've moved servers and found a guild I enjoy running with and at an appropriate skill level.

Because Casters just want to eat their cake. Developers should just ignore the salt on this thread and just NERF at their leisure.

Casters have been OP for a very long time and yes it affects me because I basically don't even play the game when a well specced endgame caster is in the party. You are literally taking away my enjoyment by being so OP.

So do it! NERF THEM INTO OBLIVION !

A lot of time it is the speed at which the player moves that drives kill counts. When I play my melee I view it as a challenge to beat the casters, this slows down obviously in say R10 vs. R7. But often I can lead kill counts against casters or keep it close to equal. Sometimes I get blown out of the water because the player is just so much faster caster or otherwise. Chains players are the ones that seem to delete mobs the fastest. I want no needs based on this however. Nerfs should come only when it removes choices- like casters Epic strikes and dragon breath. Just too good. If all EDs end up close, and you have tough decisions- then that is good.

Just edit out the usual suspects, including me, and it will boil down to 3-4 pages. ??

There should be a limit on the number of posts anyone can post per day. Yeah that's right - NERF POSTERS! ?

This is a good idea. I think people should be alloted 3 posts every 5 hours in Lam official threads.

Absolutely nothing, it will be coming and is part of the planning as yo why these adjustments have been made to the epic destinies as to make the legendary ones even more appealing, and since they have a selling model for new candy they really should release one tree at a time and sell them for big bucks just like macro with the fluff.

That makes no sense. Why would they not just add more power to the legendary stuff they are trying to sell in that case?

The big solution here would be get ride of personalized kill counts and a whole lot of the nerf this or nerf that talk would go away.

Lol they will!!

That is exactly what my prophecy is, not a new rodeo event here.

Just clearing all the smoke and smashing all the illusionary mirror from the wizards tower(conan reference).

It depends on the content. In the raids the casters are very short of mana, you just have to see how they are not welcome in the raids if they are done with a little difficulty, or even how the skellies pugs fail on hard when they are very caster heavy. Who have completed FOM alone? Only melees, zero casters. And then there are quests that are really very hard in terms of mana, like Just business.

I'm not defending a nerf to melee dps, mind you. I'm not like other jealous people who seem to take pleasure in ruining other people's fun. But enough of nerfing the casters when they are now not in a dominant position, and not even close.
Once in a while in raids I’ll need to conserve mana a bit (I don’t run push raids- so no comment there) but then a pot or two will get me through. But skellies a balanced party will always help be suscessful, and prob should hold true for any well designed raid. I would not balance anything around great players who can solo certain raids or hard R10 content with x build. To me it’s all about decisions decisions when building. More choices good, only one real viable option, bad.

But why, in your scenario, would they waste time brining down the power level of epic destinies?
You said it is to sell more legendaries, but that goal is far more efficient to achieve by just cranking up the power level of what they are trying to sell.

One of my favorite thing to do on my healer is to pop a holy smite or cometfall when mobs are low on HP so I can snipe kills. There's something fun about beating someone on the kill count on a near zero DPS healbot build.

I don't want them to balance anything around those great players. But they are facts that serve to illustrate the state of the game. If the casters were so op they would be achieving the same achievements as the melees, there are excellent players of both meele and caster. The fact that there is no caster that equals the meeles in that type of achievements explains everything.

Melee players have to stop pretending to be victims. Melee playstyle is in a dominant position. What's the point of asking nerfs for others? This only creates bad blood, and other people start asking for nerfs for you.
