I am not personally sure which bug you are referencing with this. When I log into the game I am not experiencing an issue with my aspect ratio nor its settings.

Cannith Crafting was not intended to be updated along with the level cap increase, but it is something we intend to do in the future.
Thank you for that reply.

Any comment on the many different people posting about very low droprates of certain items including artifacts?

Knowing that now yes, but we assumed wrongly that these things had the same drop rate as the past. So really we were greatly mislead by no communication of the change by devs. And still they hide from a response.
Yes. I'm wondering if we're already seeing the results of "incentivize them to do more of it."

I can't think of any other reasons besides milking the whales for them to intentionally make the drop rates so onerous. On top of that, they doubled down on it with the new aug system, which effectively almost doubles the amount of loot you need to farm with terrible drop rates in order to complete a gearset..

They obviously didn't set the drop rates this way in an effort to increase the "fun" factor. I can't see anyone thinking that re-running the same quest 50+ times just to get one piece of loot is fun. Especially when you now need 12 pieces AND the accompanying rare augs to complete a gearset. That's just miserable, mindless grind.

This is the real problem.

If SSG sees terrible loot drops rates creating an increase in overall astral shard buying and spending, it will just incentivize them to do more of it. They are a business afterall.

It's too bad people can't reign in their need for immediate gratification and not do any chest rerolls the first few weeks of new content. If everyone did, it might incentivize SSG to do the opposite.

Personally, I'm not going to burn shards rerolling something with an already terrible chance to drop. I'll save shards for guaranteed rewards and/or at least reasonably good chances of success.
Yes Kimbere, thats what I have been saying, this is a perfect way to absorb many of peoples stacks of shards. I do a lot of shopping and if i see something i desire its very hard for me not to just go spend on it. A girl wants what a girl wants and i love cosmetics and have purchased them in game alot. Of course Kimbere you know that drives my boyfriend crazy, lol you know what he is like!! Stubborn to the core!!

Anyone experiencing this bug: any character in Saltmarsh or going to Saltmarsh failed on Welcome to Eberron, loading, please wait until communication with server is lost and game crash.
trying to log a character that is in house K without any issue, trying to use the Saltmarsh token crash, same character not able to log in anymore except if I choose Eberron in the loading screen. No problems after to run quests as long as I'm not trying to go to Saltmarsh.
Didn't tried other location from the token.
Server is Ghallanda btw, tested also on Orien and no issues.
Well...forget it, now all characters are able to log in Saltmarsh... weird but solved.

Try swapping to 32bit (or 64bit client whatever is opposite of what you're on now) via step 2 here https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...-as-crowdsourced-by-many-players-advice.1666/ See if it helps with the crashes.

Played the new MD dungeons for a week, 3 times the dialogue at end reward triggers but no way to get out, no portals appearing, no yellow sign on doors, no DDoor retriggering the issue.
End of dungeon dead, have to restart it again, shaking and quite disappointed.
I saw other players reported it too, but no correction?

Isn't it as much as a priority that intimdate shout bug?

You are very likely correct. I do not doubt that drop rates are low - I was arguing that expecting a change to that a mere week after launch might be a bit optimistic. If artifacts do not drop - or drop extremely rarely - that is obviously not good for the game. Hopefully that will be adressed next week.

On an other note - spending that many shards makes me wonder if they come from purchases or from duping. Not saying or implying that you duped them but that someone might have. Thats bad for the game.

Further, spending that many shards on rerolls probably isnt the way to make SSG up drop rates. Possibly the opposite.

I have zero rerolls, maybe 30 chests, and 5 items and 3 augments personally looted which isnt bad. Maybe I got lucky. I do count the Fallen Tower Shield as loot as thats the one I specifically wanted.
The drop rates of items from the regular drop table are absolutely fine.
The problem is that items from the rare drop table aren't dropping at all.

The conversation about drop rates can become disjointed if this distinction isn't understood.

That is completely baffling that you don't update a major crafting system along with a level increase as you did with level 32. How can a decision like that even be made -it's downright scary.

It's literally adding 2 shards to 2 crafting devices and slightly different versions of those shards were there previously. I don't know what concerns me more - the fact that you didn't plan to update cannith crafting or the fact that you aren't providing a timeline for a seemingly simple change.

I think I am going to hold off spending any more money on the game until at least the cannith crafting update is in. It feels wrong to support these type of anti-player decisions.

Are you using an ultra-wide monitor? This is a new issue that first appeared when U68 came out. More info here: https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?threads/aspect-ratio-fix-u68.12278/#post-157811

I did submit a ticket on this with support. *I am assuming this is the aspect ratio issue that is in question*

SSG intending here obviously - not interfere with MD loot, because ML34 CC must provide +15/+7 Ins to main stat, boost to skillz etc etc... and it can do MD loot inferior to CC gear, GOMF specifically.

This is directly from U50 release notes (at least what is on the wiki) - snipping only the parts related to cc and level scaling.

"
  • Short and Long Term Benefits
    • We are compelled to make these adjustments for a large number of reasons, including:
      • Cannith Crafting Viability - This change means that if you have missing parts of your gear set, Cannith Crafting is now a more appealing way to fill those gaps, similar to its benefit at lower levels. It also means that we can dedicate more time to improving Cannith Crafting in the future, as its viability doesn't fall off as we approach end game.
      • Random Loot Viability - This change means that it is more likely that Random Loot will end up numerically viable for use at endgame. We don't generally expect established players to use Random Loot provided they have spent some time working on gear, but newer or less engaged players will now have more viable sources of power to select from.
      • Future Proof Design - One of the biggest benefits of this change is how future proof it is. We will only need to do an endgame adjustment like this once, and then it's largely done and we can continue onwards into the future with a better end game."

They ignored cannith crafting, apparantly intentionally! I haven't seen a single level 33 or 34 random item drop since Myth Drannor dropped.

I think they signfiicantly oversold the benefits of U50 and I directly consider Myth Drannor's release a U50 broken promise.

Future proofing for the win!

Hello,
I have 2 computers running the game. They both have the same issue, even tho, they are very different. Its most likely related to the size of my screens. Im not using a wide computer screen.
Of what I understand from other players, those with wide computer screen have no issues. People with smaller screen need to reset the Aspect ratio. In my case, I need to reset it to 16:9 on both my computers.
Thank you

Wait, what?! Why would the inherent systems not be updated? TOO HARD? When, specifically, will it be updated?

Y'all do not understand (or do not care) how important it is to me (and many of us, I hope) to Craft items to complete gear-tetris
