Anything that requires you do something with quick timing is poor design on a game that suffers from software lag and stuttering the way DDO does. While I understand the designers want some element of "twitch" gaming to make it seem more action-oriented, the base state of the game does not allow for it. Fix the random pausing and then you can experiment with player reflexes and such.

To SteelStar and Dev Team,

Since Ranged gets "Trick Shot", would it be possible to make "Patience" for melee only?

Remove the reduce attack speed entirely, but make "Patience" melee only:
Patience: While you have a melee weapon on your main hand, gain +1 Critical Multiplier.
I'll take the reverse where melee can have the trick shot style tumble 4 second buff and my ranged can have +1 crit multi. ?

I mean its pretty clear they want to try and find ways to reduce attack speed of dps so it results in a better chance at lag reduction. They did this with tempest back in the day.

Not to mention 3 second buffs are really 1-1.5 second buffs since they start at the beginning of the animation and you can't do anything until the end.

General comment
Feats with negative effects: Please dont do this taking a feat should never leave you in a worse place than not taking it - there is already an opportunity cost due to the limited number of feat slots. Its ok for feats to make you suboptimal in a certain situation but it should never flat out nerf you - on this note please revert the 20% penalty on IPS.

Specific comment
Only people that will be interested in the -10% speed are those builds that can hit the animation cap despite the handicap
My boyfriend always said the IPS 20% nerf was the beginning of the fall of the game from greatness and was his inspiration to stop spending money on the game, i didnt agree but the game recently has become a slog to play so even though i usually buy expansions for the cosmetics, i have been curved towards the lack of spending too.

Why is there no discussion on Legendary skills, saves, BAB raise like epic levels?

Is there going to be a second Legendary Feat like we got at level 30? If not, then when?

Also seems like there should be specific level 33 Epic feats and level 34 Epic Destiny feats.

Since they apparently have time for whatever attempt at being fancy this was, we're going to have to start hiring skywriters to poke fun at
management by listing the known bugs in half-mile lines over their office building. Maybe we can get some actual progress done by 2025.

Only downside would be paying for 496 airplanes. ?

Even more why we need to tumble to gain some benefits? What about the ppl with diff play style that don't like to use tumble? Why force tumbling to be something that ppl must use? I personally use tumble and like it but conditioning to gain additional benefits just for tumble? It's a fail to deliver with all due respect. We as a community have been waiting for 6 months to get the Legend of the mythdrannor since pool of radiance and DND second edition we don't see that amazing campaign with the wonders that brings at least gives the players what they deserve. The team that developed IoD need to be involved if is not involved already. That was a good campaign development in my humble opinion.

Wow people are really underestimating this one. Even for just auto-attacking it's a strong DPS feat for many builds. But the real point is that for adrenaline and active attacks (like SDK chains) attack speed doesn't really matter and this feat will be a massive increase to burst DPS.

That feat is already going to make melee overpowered as it is if you took away the -10% attack speed then this feat will be a must take for any melee build

Probably because going from a 13-20x7 to a 13-20x8 is not worth a 10% attack speed penalty.

Hey, everyone! In this Preview, we've got several new feats planned for release with Update 69 to go along with the level cap increase. With the exception of one though, these can also be taken anywhere in Epics you have a feat slot they can be taken in! Let's take a look, and please leave any feedback below!

Important Note: These feats are not working properly in the current Lamannia build. We are working toward a new build that will include these feats.

New Epic Feats

These are all Minimum Level 21, and can be taken with normal feat slots that you get at levels 21, 24, 27, 30, and 33.
  • Patience
    • Your attack speed is reduced by 10%, but you gain +1 Critical Multiplier with all weapons.
  • Eerie Aim
    • You gain +5% Dodge Bypass and +5% Deflection Bypass.
  • Paranoid
    • You automatically Spot almost all traps as you approach them.
    • (Note: This is Spot, not Search.)
  • Inspiring Bond
    • When your Hirelings or Pets die, after 2.5 seconds they are automatically resurrected and heal to full health. This can occur only once for each creature every 3 minutes. In addition, your Hirelings, Pets, and Summons gain +25 Physical Resistance Rating and Magical Resistance Rating.
  • Defensive Tumble
    • When you Tumble, for the next 3 seconds you take 20% less damage from all sources (except Bane). In addition, the bonus to Reflex Saving Throws you receive while actively Tumbling is now also applied to Fortitude and Will saving throws while Tumbling.
  • Trick Shot
    • When you Tumble, you gain +40 Ranged Power for 4 seconds.

New Epic Destiny Feats
These are all Minimum Level 21 except for Titan's Blood, which is ML34. These can be taken with Destiny Feat Slots, which you get at 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34.
  • Titan's Blood
    • Minimum Level 34. You gain a +10% Legendary Bonus to Maximum Hit Points.
  • Guarded Actions
    • Whenever you use an Action Boost, you take 20% less damage for 6 seconds.
  • Arcane Actions
    • Whenever you use an Action Boost, you gain a +100 Competence Bonus to Universal Spell Power and +2 to Spell Penetration for 3 seconds.
  • Channel Power
    • After blocking with an Orb or Staff for at least 3 seconds, you gain a +100 Competence Bonus to Unversal Spell Power and +4 to all Spell DCs for 3 seconds.
  • Reverberating Shout
    • Activate to shout at all nearby creatures, Intimidating them unless they make a Will Saving Throw (DC equal to your Intimidate skill). This works on all creature types, including those normally immune to Intimidate.
  • Face Me
    • Whenever you use an Action Boost, your threat generation is increased by 200% for 6 seconds.
No one will ever take patience ever?

Except you have all your attacks in between plus chains is affected by attack speed. It will be a net decrease to a DPS build that isn't a flavor build.
Well you cant assign chain attack crit profile when referencing normal attacks. You are also overestimating the attack speed impact. 14-20x5 with 35-40% attack speed is better than 14-20x4 with 45-50% attack speed.
Thirdly its clearly not meant to be a straight up DPS increase for every build and that is a very good thing.
