The Soul Eater has multiple SLAs including some unique abilities:
* Consume: DoT
* Stricken: Nuke
* Consume Sight: Blindness
* Dark Feeding: Drain ability from enemy
* Burning Blood: DoT
* Steal Lifeforce
----
* Eldritch Wave
* Finger of Death
I don't have a strong opinion about T5 abilities, I'd like to focus on lower-tier stuff.
The bad:
* The standard problem of warlocks applies to this tree. Casting interrupts the flow of Eldritch Blasting. Therefore, using low-powered SLAs is strictly a DPS loss.
* Multiple SLAs are straight useless: Single-target blindness (without helplessness) is rarely a valuable condition to spend an action. Burning Blood is simply a bad spell.
* All are single-target abilities.
The good:
* Debuffs. Good debuffs are hard to find.
Option 1: fix underperforming abilities
* Replace effects like Burning Blood and Blindness with more valuable abilities.
* Add extra damage.
* Allow more metamagic feats for Steal Lifeforce (max emp ...).
* Take a look at the cooldowns.
* Make Dark Feeding grant untyped bonus and increase the debuff on the enemy (no save slow?).
* Let Consume Sight make enemies Consumed.
* Let Burning Blood make enemies Strickened.
* Add a debuff (either one Consumed/Strickened, or a new one) to Dark Feeding and Steal Lifeforce.
* Make at least one of the SLAs AoE.
Option 2: combine them, fewer buttons
Arguably, the SLAs can be paired:
* Consume & Consume Sight look related. Both consume.
* Stricken and Burning Blood look related. Both affect with bad stuff.
* Dark Feeding and Steal Lifeforce look related. Both take and give you.
Merge the pairs into one ability. E.g., one Consume button that also blinds, etc. Fewer buttons to click, more likely to make them worth casting.
