Vengeance Reapers and bosses

So my partner and I have finally gotten to the point that we can do quests on R5 so we have now encountered Vengeance Reapers and have learned to try to either kill them last or to try and drag the reaper far away from other mobs.

Unfortunately, this didn't work when it comes to boss fights in enclosed areas, and we died multiple times when we got to the end fight in Immortality Lessons and one of the bosses got hit by Vengeance. Got quickly hit for 5000 damage by the boss and we only managed to eventually win by jibbering in a corner and using cakes. It was only during this fight that we learned that fortunately Vengeance only lasts 2 minutes on red names, otherwise I'm sure we wouldn't have beat the quest.

Any other suggestions on how to deal with Vengeance Reapers, or do we have the right idea of it?

In this situation you probably have to kite it or ignore it (but not the circles) or pull boss to one side of room and reaper to the other and kill.

I have been in groups where talented casters CC them very reliably and it works great until some thoughtless pugger, in lieu of padding their kill count, one shot it with an adrenaline hit while surrounded by mobs.

If ignoring it spell absorb is your dear friend.

vengeance reaper buffs run out on red names. Run around and avoid if you have to.

Controlling via charm or hold spells works well on vengeance too.

another possible strategy in a closed room fight with a redname:
clear trash, kill veng, ddoor, run back, wait out the buff timer, then reenter and kill boss
