VIP subscription wasting away during this massive lag

I wish I had stayed on Sarlona. At least I would be able to play. But they definitely need to extend our VIP subscriptions. The game is unplayable during prime time.
The game is unplayable during anytime atm. I don't believe they put into consideration the amount of players that would return with this big 64 bit server transfer. I would expect the lag to be there for the next two weeks at most.

However, with them stopping the transfers isn't going to help cause then the lag will be back again with the amount of ppl that weren't able to do the transfers now.

They will get this lag somewhat fixed just for it to start up again once transferring comes back.

Welcome to DDO all lol

I'm not convinced it has to do with people. The service is still likely single-threaded and they've got something in there consuming too many cycles. I've seen absolutely full instances with no lag.

I just cancelled mine as well. it's still up till late Nov, so I guess there's time to earn some good favor with me, but ever since we lost daily gold rolls it hasn't felt worth it to me if I'm honest; I wanted to support the game, but now I feel downright foolish...

gosh after putting 3000+ hours into DDO I wouldn't walk away. Its annoying its frustrating but it does help put things in perspective.

Making a big fuss over $9-15/month that we get 60+ hours of enjoyment seems odd. Starbucks for 2 costs more then that.

No big deal. I have gotten more sleep though!

I cancelled VIP on two accounts last night. It runs out in a couple of weeks. If lag isn't fixed by then, I couldn't care less if there's compensation. My friends are already losing patience with SSG. And if they aren't playing, I have zero reason to be here.
Cancelled mine as well. No need to pay for something that doesn't work properly. No one would keep paying a contractor if they continued to fail at getting the job done.

i don't think stopping VIP if you don't find the value in it is making a big fuss? if $9-15 a month is no big deal to you id gladly take a gifted vip sub starting in late November? thank you :)

This argument its absurd, first of all, if you pay for a service that service should work, some downtime is expected but in cases like these where is extreme downtime costumers should have compensation to avoid ppl not purchasing the service in the future; Second, you have to remember that might not be much for you but there are ppl on minium wages; Third, not everyone that plays this game pays in USD, the game's far more expensive in my country for instance.

Custumers should hold companies to a high standard, allways. If YOU dont value your money, dont preach to others that mindset because that only markes services get worse over time

We all know the game is ******* garbage right now. Spamming new topics about it wont change anything.

Im not complaning about the state of the game, im asking if there's gonna be compensation for lost VIP time, i havent seen any other topic touching this subject aside from mine.

Wouldn't you rather they fix as much as they can first? Otherwise it's like an insurance company providing you a rental car for 2 weeks when the repairs on your car take 3. Fix the problems first, then spend the time/money on figuring out what (if any) reparations are due.

I never sayed they should focus on compensation first, 100% they should fix the game first, who doenst agree with this?

Diferent ppl have diferent jobs, the SSG employee that grab our feedback inst the same that fixes the servers, we can and should 100% voice it while they're still doing ongoing fixes

They're not going to announce any compensation with an ongoing issue. The demand for compensation has been voiced on MANY threads...one more is just likely to de-incentivize them. People do get tired of being attacked constantly and become defensive which lowers the chances of you getting what you want.

There's already a new coupon code that someone figured out: THANKYOU2025. It's been posted in the DDO Discord. All adventure packs through Night Brigade (doesn't include Tavern Tales), Warforged, FvS, 32-point builds.

Its a game, Its complex. Its 20 years old of coding that has been patched.

Think of it like this.

A Road to your town is built. The Road is new, amazing and fun!. it works great and is super smooth.
Over time, there are other towns built, people move away. Over time there are modifications to that road to make it better, some of the work some of they work less. As the road gets works people complain, and are more likely to move away. Instead of having the money to repave the road they can only fill the pot holes, and the pay isn't great so many employees come and go with their own way of doing things.

Fast foward 5 years, You still have a road, its fairly bumpy and not super great. Thats where we are.

Its a bumpy road, It still gets me where I am going.

Its also 9-15 bucks a month. Get over your indignation, You tip more on a bottle of wine. I'm confident they will fix it, they need time.

It was disabled shortly after word got out.

What do you think the new code will be when it's officially released? THANKUS2025?

FFS. My daughter has been waiting patiently for the code for her account to be able to play with us. I'll spend money on permanent account or character upgrades, only. When the game was released, I bought the "Founders Edition" ($200) thinking it would grant some bonuses but all I got was a stupid hat and a garbage trinket. Never again. Would have been much better spent on the +8 supreme tome and other stuff at the time.

Can't get banned from a game that is unplayable anyway :D
No but they sure can revisit all these posts after they fix the playability and then if you choose you can beg and grovel like they are superior and maybe that will get you your PRIVILEGES back.
