I've been playing a Paladin Arcane Archer and the burst damage is amazing.

Three AoE attacks from Paladin's Avenging Shot, Exalted Shot, and AA's Elemental Inferno.

I might have to revisit this again after I've got a few more Action Points from Racial Reincarnations.

My experience is that bow is massively behind. It would be interesting to know how the very best bow build stacks up against Inquis (there are a bunch of ways of doing Inquis which are OP).

Also, whether Paladin is the best bow build (would it be Elf for AA?, etc.).

The one I'm playing is a level 20 Pure Paladin, and using Half-Elf with the Ranger Dilettante. Although as both Elves and Wood Elves get enhancements for bow damage as well, being Half-Elf isn't necessary. I just took it to work towards a Charisma past life point.

41 Points in Knight of the Chalice for the level 20 Core, 14 points in Racial for Arcane Archer, and the rest of the points in Arcane Archer for the Inferno Shot AoE and bonus imbue dice.

Oh and I put 6 points into Sacred Defender for an extra 25 points of PRR & MRR.

The feats I took are pretty standard Ranged-specific feats:

1 Point Blank Shot
3 Rapid Shot
6 Manyshot
9 Precise Shot
12 Improved Precise Shot
15 Improved Critical: Ranged
18 Precision

I wasn't really sure what to take at level 18 so I chose Precision. I don't know if another choice would have been more optimal.

How often do you use IPS?

I've never used it because I always figured it would be a pain in the butt to manually target monsters in the back and the -20% damage would be rather painful. Plus Archer's Focus always feels so nice when I get it maxed out.

Did you try it at cap in R10 quests ? or R++ Raids ?
The problem is not so much in the leveling process (if you forget the crazy slow attack speed) as any broken build in the game can reach the level 20 and TR.
The real problem starts when you need to be performant for what the game is designed for lvl 20+, especially in high reaper and further more at cap.

I usually solo unless I'm lucky enough to be online when there's an LFM for a group doing R1 at the same level as I am. Many of the people in my guild are in epic levels, and I'm currently (slowly) working on Past Lives, so I TR as soon as I get to 20 and grind out enough Tokens of a Twelve.

So I've never played R10 or done any raids.

To be honest, not that often. Now I have a regular rotation of 3 AoE attacks, I find I don't really need Improved Precise Shot all that much.
