Warlock Inquisitive

Can we think of any utility in making an 18/2 warlock/artificer inquisitive? I'm thinking ES so i'm like a little flashing bulb of crossbows

You'd have to go 41 inqui 31 ES 7 fey, so you'd have no trance, and basically all you'd get is a few imbue dice and the temp HP pulse, and a mediocre PBAOE burst without meta support

It's basically just a worse version of an ek pm inqui

You could probably make it work with a different split. Is there a specific reason you said 18/2?

I'm not seeing any synergies. If you're shooting crossbows, you're not Eldritch Blasting. So that pigeon holes you into Enlightened Spirit, which is melee / survivability oriented tree. If enemies are close enough to be caught in your Aura, then you're doing something wrong as an Inquisitive. Which leaves you with some passive buffs and maybe extra HPs from ES. But you've given up a lot of better ranged DPS options, like T4 Battle Engineer or dipping paladin for Exalted Shot.

If you're using inquis to grab your warlock past life, then you don't need to go that deep in warlock (just do enough to get warlock past life priority). There's not a lot of reason to go deep into the warlock trees, dipping into t2 SE for consume & the debuffs and t1 TS for the temp HP is about far as you'd likely want to go.

what's wrong with EK/PM inquis? I haven't tried one before, but it seems like it'd be very similar to alchemist inquis. Same pile of imbue dice with only core 2 of EK. Some PM for undead form and self heals, which leaves plenty of points for harper int to hit/dam/trance.

I wouldn't bother with offensive spells (maybe meteor) but with all int you'd probably have pretty good DCs for CC stuff.

Maybe it would probably pair well with the enlightened spirit tree with elritch aura while running double crossbows. If you have 11 AP's, you could delve into feydark illusionist to get charisma for hit and damage with that then it would everything scaling off charisma for offensive purposes

Nothing at all and you're spot on, it's a great build and one of my faves

It wasn't meant to be a knock on ek pm inqui, just pointing out that warlock es inqui is just a lesser version of it

If you just want a warlock past life, I don't see the point of going inquisitive. Blaster warlock will be far better than inquisitive until you're close to cap.
If you want an effective inquisitive build for cap play, I don't see what warlock brings to the table, wizard ek sounds better in every way.

And either way, I don't understand why you'd go for 18 levels of warlock. Going pure is much better for a caster, while you'd want much less warlock levels on an inquisitive build.
