I'd love to do teaching and learning on various raids, but my schedule is just so random.

I'm more of a weekend warrior, I'd be down to help for the raids I know and learn for the ones I don't.

Haven't really bothered too much with raids or reaper. That being said I mostly game with family & that could be also why I don't raid or reap (I think I only did reaper a couple of times on Haverdasher in the Harbor).
A learning/intro session to both I think would be a great idea! Mostly a weekend warrior as well..

We need leadership to get this going.

Folks, let's not kid ourselves, this is really not an easy game for newbs.

And I know all of you have been playing since Gygax was going through his teen angst years but if you really think back the game sucks in preping new players for the rest of the game.

Do I think SSG should have a hand in making the intro & tutorial better updating it to include Reaper intro and raiding. Yes, yes I do.

But, at least for me, I feel we as veteran players have some responsibility in helping sheperd new players to the game so they can make this their permanent play place, imho.

Anyway, I'm woefully disqualified since all I know is a handful of quests and cheap-o shortcuts for reincarn train. If we have a pro player that's willing to volunteer would be insanely cool.

-To SSG Devs,

Also, would be cool to have a "mentor" designation next to a player's name , who are willing and qualified to help new players in-game. Just a thought.

Hello my Argo fam. Darkwolfer2002 (Gadvenn in game) here. I love to do some raids when I can but I am also on the PL train bandwagon. Which means I never stay at level too long. :cautious: I'm still learning raids myself but I never shy away from helping others.

Same, Epic Res-TR, rinse repeat. On the grind of going for Completionist feat on Prognack. Done with Fighter, Sorc, Wizard, Alchemist and Barbarian so far. Working on the Palidan life now. Also gotten the 5k total favor on each life so far making it so I have all stats +5 other than STR, which is also a goal for my life as Palidan. PL's will roll faster after the 5k this life since I won't need it anymore though ^.^

And can we get some kind of raid/quest tutorial night going? Slow going non-reaper teaching groups?

teaching... this would be right up my alley if it weren't for the other things i have been roped into recently.

i strongly support this idea and might be able to participate on a random without-notice basis.

new players are the reason the game exists.

Teaching would be awesome. I have been playing for years in a 2 man guild (which is not a bad thing) but it doesn't give me much of a chance to run any raids. I dont want to leave my guild but would love to meet up and game with some people when I have a chance.

These forums were up if you had gone through the DDO website to access the forums. There were issues with the old DDO Forums and this that have since been fixed and appears to have fixed the link for anyone that wasn't aware of how to access it. These forums were opened up during last weeks update time.

Now for anyone wishing to access the old forums, for whatever reason, the new link is "https://forums-old.ddo.com/forums/forum.php"
