What are peoples thoughts on the Producers Letter for the 20th Anniversary Year?

I like they're adding another lock pick class. That it's a caster hybrid, might keep those "why can't wizards disable devices too" players quiet for a while. Even though that already existed with artificer. Just keep in mind, when you get what you complain for, it isn't necessarily what you expected when you get it.
If Duregar is geared more for melee, then I think they missed the boat there by not going with Goliath instead. My question is the demegorgan going to look like toolip head in Stranger things, D&D artwork or other?

And they're still not addressing bugs like not being able to open the optional chest in scavenger hunt, or being able to pick up coinage and other treasure from breakable suits of armor in saltmarsh and ravenloft, and not being able to open that one chest that strahd leaves behind when you beat his minions in an invitation to dinner

We have vastly different views on ignoring known bugs ... Sir, your Amazon order just shipped, the estimated delivery time is 2035. 🤣

how often do you die on your main character? on my main he pretty much never dies even when he's level 1 after a tr you're asking for free hard-core rewards
I rarely go below r4 once I hit level 10 so deaths occasionally occur, and even at r1 there can be strokes of bad luck that kill even the best players. It wouldn't "free" by any means, and as I said previously, anyone concerned about the sanctity of hardcore should be just as concerned over multiboxing cheese and pay to win shortcuts.

A lot of people thought beholders for mounts. My first thought were the chaos roombas in Xorian Cipher and Invaders, but that may just my anti-recency bias due to taking a 10 year break.
