What are somethings that would increase your goodwill towards the game?

Since the game is unplayable on some servers, and they might be looking to do some PR, what are somethings you would like the developers do/work on?

Personally I want to see old content getting updated to match the current standards, like every update just give an older pack some refreshed items, and to see the developers be more transparent with how some of their systems work, particularly around drop rates.
We are WAY beyond, asking for hand outs or doing something for the community due to game performance. I don't think about them doing things they should have already done a long time ago.

You think they don't know about dated drops that need to be revamped? This requires effort and "resources"...

Focus should be fixing the game right now. The game needs to have us all on 64bit servers to work right? Than they should do that. Not talk about doing it, telling us what it will take to do it, they should just do it.

Remember when we started having lags and crashes and they said it was a data center issue and not thier fault? Turns out out they need to upgrade to 64 bit, but waited until as long as possible to do it.

It's a holiday weekend. They won't be answering any posts or even looking at them until tomorrow. Of course they will tell us how they have been working on everything all weekend though...

They should communicate what they are doing to address it. It costs nothing. It is free to post here and let us know what is going on there for damage control.

It is not the first time during messy periods that they have gone quiet, and won’t be the last. Someone there is running stuff out of pride not basic customer service.

Well, my friend, you may just be wrong here. I used to think this myself but as it turns out, they're probably all having very lively discussions and productive communication over on the secret forums.

Yep, the silence isn't silence at all - its just non-silence that we can neither see nor hear nor track with the dev tracker because the posts are made in some far away, mystical land. Yep, yep.

Removing 2nd/3rd life XP curves, just have it all be 1st life. And reduce Epic XP curve by 1/3.

Lag is the issue du jour, but my problems are more about the long term grind

The XP grind will never be changed. That IS the game. When someone stops chasing a mythical end goal, just playing is great and XP matters less.

The XP curve is set this way to encourage sales of tomes, XP pots and other boosts. It's deliberate to provoke sales.

Hell will freeze over and be ruled by flying pigs before the XP curve is changed.

TBH, the only reason I log in for DDO right now is raiding and due to timer limits, that's only twice a week. I "should" work some TRs, but that's just a long dull chore before finally making another raid character that I really don't need -- have the main 4 covered already (tank melee ranged caster).

ATM, the only thing that would get me playing more is eliminating timers from raids. LOL, no, I'm not interested enough to buy timers for the server so I can raid more.

Hmm. Huge improvements to the entire TR and leveling experience would help a lot, too; ie. one-click leveling to follow my custom builder-generated path, one-click releveling after epic tr back to 20 (along same builder-path), no TR cache (maintain fully organized bank with 10x current space), no muling (10~100x shared bank and/or can reach into mule storage directly); ie. a TR should have as close to zero UI shenanigans as possible in order to make DDO about playing instead of working the TR or leveling UI.

Hmm. One more feature that would be nice: acquire PL & RXP on one character, but give them to another. This would let me keep my raiding fleet capped for raiding, but still progress them.

A show of effort to keep the game living and healthy as opposed to showing evidence you are cashing out before going into maintenance mode.

It's mostly the tiny things Tonquin did last year.

Tiny bug fixes
Small QoL updates
Minor balance tweaks for outdated/very weak abilities and enhancements.
Updating some old loot to new standards
Updating old quests and raids for accessibility. Removing flagging.

And actual honest communication.

In all seriousness? The sale of DDO to a new group that will invest heavily in infrastructure, advertising, and content. SSG is unable to manage this game properly and its disdain for its customers, marketing, PR, and management of the lag issue has created too much distrust in this company for it to manage such a storied franchise.
They need to be bought out. D&D deserves so much better.

I would be very excited, and encouraged about the game's longevity if they did this: Made MotU permanently free to play (Note hubby and I pre-purchased the Ultimate edition originally) AND SIMULTANEOUSLY updated MotU loot to today's standards with a NEW premium adventure pack to purchase (at least 4 quests) that could have entrances in the King's Forest and the Underdark.

Or heck make MotU permanently FtP while adding a mini-expansion to purchase that utilizes King's Forest and Underdark.

Also yes please make Minor Artifacts BTA, it is ridiculous that they are BTC, waste of inventory space and NEGATIVE player satisfaction when you get a specific one on one alt that you need on another alt.

Un-nerf the 5 nerfs that were done to warlocks.
Un-nerf caster damage.
Un-nerf monk nerfs. The necessary nerfs were to the one named handwrap Moral Compass in Strahd raid, not the class itself.
Make robe MRR uncapped. There is no reason that robes should be less magically protected than armors since there's no spell mantle spell in DDO.

Yes, and make minor artifacts BtA. BtC is such an unfriendly move for minor artifacts.
