It's kind of annoying that Games Workshop is putting Battleforge functionality behind the paywall of Warhammer+. But, my Genestealer Cult army is doing *really* well and I suck at army math (any math, honestly), and their paint job is turning out killer... so I may have to talk the wife into another subscription. Good thing I recently cut a few other subscriptions... not that that news has any relevancy here, of course. I mean, why would it? Things here in DDOville have been going so swimmingly. Right?

In my opinion as someone who plays intermittently, DDO is still fun to play and doing fairly well. When the Epic Destiny system was changed, most of my characters lost power. That was very frustrating. However, the developers responded to complaints with yet more changes and as things stand today, my best characters are better than ever.
I am mostly bored with DDO because I hate all the Vecna stuff. As best I can tell, most players enjoy Vecna's story which makes me an outlier. Some day, Flimsy and crew will produce another gem like Against the Slave Lords or Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh or The Temple of Elemental Evil. I need to be patient.
Perhaps, some day, you will receive a pleasant DDO surprise like a really fun quest pack or Flumpling.
When I was young, I painted a lot of fantasy figures. I would love to design and paint large scale figures today. Unfortunately, I lack artistic talent, computer skills, and good eyesight. Games like DDO help me to daydream about various ideas even if I will never actually make them.
