What are your favorite alt builds for LH / R1 Pug Raiding ... ?

I've been making low effort builds to hit LH / R1 raids, and was curious what peoples favorite low-effort builds are? I'm looking for some ideas for useful and odd builds to get to cap and park.

Right now I've got a pally tank (6.5K hps), warchanter buff bard, two healers (cleric AND fvs), and two inquisitives (one ranger, one pally), and a couple of barbarian swf types. I also have a warlock debuffer that doesn't get played much.

Are there any unusual flavor builds that would be fun to play and beneficial for raids? The lower the effort the better, 1 or 2 life builds are ideal.

I have an acid-specced monk ki bolt build that I use for raids. I did twf with kukris for Maw but you could do very well with Qstaff for various spellpower buffs. TWF gets to use debuffers in both hands.

She does fine. Katwoemyn on Thrane.

Can you do all your pls with that build too and how much exotic gear does it need

Sun Domain Cleric
Water Savant and or Chaos Sorc
Alchemist

The easiest to run are dragon lord and dragon disciple, though those may be harder to get a spot on a r1 pug raid as not everyone is familiar with those builds and just ran suboptimal builds to get their past life feats.

That's a lot of alts. And you want more?

My main is always on the hamster wheel, but is usually DC caster or DPS. My secondary is the toon I typically bring to raids, and she is a healer/DC caster fvs. After that, my alts are based on having someone off-timer to fill any role: SWF pally (DPS) and tank pally. and I have two other healers that I haven't played in months but are theoretically raid-ready.

The ki bolt monk sounds fun, I'll make that. Is it safe to assume this is based on tilo's theorycrafting?

Never really considered a 1st life alchemist either, seems like it'd be really squishy. How would you build that out?

Water savant is on the list, but I have to level from 1 to go pure class and not use a heart, and prefer iconics starting at 15.

Scourge ranger seems interesting, just pure deep sniper. Archery just struggles in comparison to other ranged, so I've not done this yet.

It is a lot of alts. Once built and parked, there is nothing to do with them. My goal isn't to improve them in the same way as a main. They serve specific roles, and get tweaked for that. At most, my raid alts get run thru one or two iconic and epic lives. Ideally on xp bonus weekends for super fast leveling. A lot can be accomplished with this approach.

My racial completionist is parked, and the idea of doing another racial toon or more heroics just exhausts me. Making effective low-effort builds is how I'm trying to find more joy in this game and make the most of the play environment as it is. Variety in build theory and questing keeps things interesting for me.

Getting accepted on a first life alchemist will be a challenge when they say 1 healer 1 tank ranged dps

My healer is always nice to have on standby for raids. https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?threads/low-life-bubble-dwarf-17-3-fvs-healer.2062/
But I tend to bring my warlock a bunch. https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...t-for-fire-fiend-aots-builds-as-of-u67.10851/

Straight 20 monk ki bolt builds are pretty straightforward. Whatever melee feats through heroics and epics, but you then slip in spellpower feats and acid Scion (in my case). Gearing is tough since you are a hybrid so good luck…But basically all spell crit boosts for acid, spellpower acid, then all melee boosts. Since the ki bolts hit pretty hard, you can make it your primary focus and have melee as debuff/secondary.
Mantle is Draconic for tics

I don't work for SSG- I pay their bills.
If I'm building an alt to pug raid, I prefer some sort of Two-Handed fighter build, typically a fighter. I like to go deep in the Stalwart Defense tree, so I know I have less of a chance to die. The stance is amazing for not dying!

15 Artificer, 4 Warlock, 1 ???.

15 Artificer for Deadly Weapons and Repeating Crossbow, 4 Warlock for PRR/MRR shredding + Vulnerability, last level free for whatever. (DH for a Sneak Attack Die and Bleed Imbue, or Fighter for feat, or...)

You can trap with the right gear, provide adequate DPS through RCB, stack debuffs with Warlock.

If you know you're not going to provide good dps on your own, the least you can do is improve the DPS of others.

Pick up Shadowdancer + Bring Darkness, and (I haven't tested this honestly so I could be wrong) run the Exalted Angel Mantle with a Fire Runearm. The lower you can force a target's PRR, the better.

A half-orc barb wielding a greatclub with no strength, but tons of incite so I pull aggro anyway, then blame the tank for being terrible.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, some good ideas here.

The alchemist seems really squishy but I think the extra 2 levels and newer gear would help. They do get a lot of utility, and being able to gold elementals and nagas is tech. I try to get at least 2K hps on my raid alts, which can be a real challenge for certain classes, but will look at this.

And I've wanted to make a bubble caster arti for ages, but haven't seen or figured out a decent low life version.

Are debuffers still useful for raids? Don't think I see many in pug raids, just some basic ash / vulnerability stuff.

This is the build I followed for my buff bard, https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?threads/pure-pdk-spellsinger-for-cormyr-max-buffs.231/

Low life with 2 pls and 6 epls 1400 + vs 4500 + with no tomes can boost a little with melee feats at that point why bother

And the self healing can be challenging if your not used to those

Dwarven Protection Cleric with Dwarf Dragon Mark for more Bubbles.

I typically level it to 30 as Fire Cleric then ETR and burn Sagas to get back to 30 Really fast as a Protection Cleric.
