So true! It's been very noticeable... both types of AI degeneration happened at the same time, coinciding with the patch that introduced the new MD raid. This was also when the big lag period started. The devs broke the game and have no clue on how to revert it.

Yeah, I was playing Tharask Arena yesterday and I had to literally run down into each individual cage for each group because they wouldn't enter the arena. Or fight back.

Cannith challenges involving torches and kobolds are now impossible to 6 star, they just stand there.

Tolero did an interview on youtube before Mabar and said they tried to fix some 'infinite loop' that was going on with mabar mobs trying to coordinate with other mabar mobs. It's obvious the fix was bad and then they lobotomized to try and save it but lobotomized the wrong part.

Not to mention they then proceeded to extend the event for another week+. 2weeks is long enough for any event....not a month+!!

They extended it because in quests in heroic low levels the mabar champs kill newbies and that makes money for SSG.

Ran the epic cannith challenges today, ai/pathing is still completely broken, same as when I did the heroic ones a couple of weeks ago. I know kobolds still hate me, but the little sh*tbags are just refusing to run crystals. they stop every 30 seconds or so for 10-30 seconds. This wasn't an issue a couple of months ago when I ran them on the previous life.

the only reason you need hires is because this game is generally dead
and you cant find ppl to group with
its an mmo

so in an effort to support its deadness,
the game has become more solo friendly
so suddenly hires are used

I don't think there's anything sudden about it. Gimping along while some 53rd life sorcerer nukes the entire dungeon is boring. Most MMOs have lots of solo activities - even the majority of the content. e.g. I played 90%+ of my WoW time solo back in the Burning Crusade days. The only MMO I've ever played where one was more or less forced to rely on a persistent gang is Eve and even then I still mostly played solo.
