What does "Be R10 capable" even mean?

Reaper has ruined the game for me, I can no longer group with people at endgame because they mostly run high reaper. I get one shot on even reaper 1. So I am stuck running 1-20 content where reaper is a joke.

if i put a lfm and take the lead for a quest or a raid, there is simply NO point i can NOT prever/exclude/reject anyone of my personal meaning really.

If my raid lfm sais one caster and that means you cannot bring YOUR caster and your wife's/friend's whoever's caster along, thats just and simply OK

in that case: take response and make your own lfm and LEAD - if u don't want to and just wait for another guy's lfm to pop and hop in there then you cannot expect the leader and the group to "play your rules" - its their lfm .

A game where everyone can play content appropriate to their skill and build is ruined ?

Just play the level of the game you enjoy playing .

It basically means, don't bring your **** build with heroic gear, that does not make any amount of difference in the quests.

I understand where this is coming from. You have only so much time in a day or week to spend on quests, and you don't want to be slowed down by other folks.

Do I like those sort of LFMs? Not really. It is what it is though.

R10s aren't terribly difficult at this point. If you have three main toons running R10s, they can pretty well do the quests and, in my experience, don't mind dragging a few noobs or undergeared/low PL toons. You might get some grumbling from one of the superstars in the group you just joined if you're consistently going the wrong way, dying, and waiting for a rescue.

If you really want to be helpful in fast-moving R10s on a low-life/low-reaper toon that doesn't perform well yet, guard the entrance or bring cakes.

Interesting... so you are implying that if 6 players can beat R10 as a team, 2 of those can duo the same quest on R10?

Or are you implying that since 'at the current power' it takes 2 players to complete an R10 quest, there cannot be a 6 weaker players that manages to do that as well?

hmm... maybe you meant that if a 6 players the strength of the leader can complete the R10, but just 2 of them don't, then they are incompetent and not R10 ready?

Maybe I am incompetent myself since I cannot find the logic behind this.
I think you're reading something into his post. No where did he say six weaker players couldn't complete. He just said 1-2 excellent players are enough. He's right.

I am not one of those that can carry an R10 group, so I typically don't post LFMs for them. But I I do recognize the difference between an outstanding player, an average R10 player, and a player that shouldn't be in R10.

I wouldn't join an LFM with a note like the one OP mentioned, not because I couldn't contribute, but because it just sends all the wrong vibes--the leader comes off looking both unconfident in their own skills and like a jerk. A group to steer clear of...

That said, it's their LFM...they can ask for whatever they prefer and others are free to join or not.

I am an Inquis, no problem killing stuff.
There was another thread recently where someone said the first goal in playing R10 should be to concentrate on staying alive. It is a great point.

As an inquis, you can do that and still make a modest contribution while you learn. Pick your spots...use AOE sparingly...be aware of what is aggroed on you and hide behind cover if necessary. Learn to recognize who has agro of what you are about to shoot at. Work a bit on defenses. (Deflect arrows is great!) You won't get as many kills this way, but in the end, I think you will feel good when you don't die.

As a fairly weak player in a guild with a some great players, I really enjoyed learning how to survive in R10. I am now able to solo some very easy (old) quests on R10. But I still know my limits, and am constantly amazed by how easy the toughest newer content is for some of my guild mates.

Those would be the easiest, fastest R10s you’ve ever experienced. You’re welcome.
Weren’t you the guy crying buckets of tears on the forums because a raid leader wouldn’t let one of your guildies join? Might want to sit this one out.

Sounds like the beginning of a bad post trying to recruit you a job or something. "Must be R10 capable. We are an ambitious and rapidly growing startup guild looking for people...yada yada."
