What does "Be R10 capable" even mean?

To me those lfm's just scream incompetence. Always avoided them. If they truly where r10 capable, they wouldn't need the rest of the group to be. At the current player power all it takes is 1-2 decent players to get the group through r10s.
^This...

If you're doing a tough R10, you're already going to have a group (or a core) and not going to bother posting an LFM.

R10s aren't terribly difficult at this point. If you have three main toons running R10s, they can pretty well do the quests and, in my experience, don't mind dragging a few noobs or undergeared/low PL toons. You might get some grumbling from one of the superstars in the group you just joined if you're consistently going the wrong way, dying, and waiting for a rescue.

If you really want to be helpful in fast-moving R10s on a low-life/low-reaper toon that doesn't perform well yet, guard the entrance or bring cakes.
I swear...those kobolds are NOT getting in behind us... :D

I did a 3BC prove your worth with someone who had just came back to the game (I myself had also just came back after a 15 yr hiatus). I had featherfall and they didnt, they died on the ladder climb part. I carried them past the conundrum and into the fire room where they could rezz. They felt bad the entire time about them dying stupidly, but I assured them I had no issues and it actually made me feel good that I saved the run. I wasnt annoyed or anything at all, even told them to go afk and make a sammich or something, not to sweat it. It's all about the vibe in this game and if you are projecting "be good at this game or else", what kind of vibe or energy are you putting out there? I guess you get what you give in some instances and I'd never want to make someone feel like crap because I thought they were sub-par or something, if anything I wanna lift people up not kick their face in the dirt. Having this attitude where "if someone doesnt meet my standards and are dead all the time then they suck" is kind of a weird take, but humans gonna human I guess. If you aren't playing the game to have fun, then why are you playing? And if having fun means that you like waving your member around showing everyone how good and awesome you are, then that's another issue entirely.

Look, all im saying before I get off my high horse is, play to have fun - no point in projecting any kind of elitism or anything because if someone is a soulstone and you can solo the entire instance because you were that good, nothing is stopping you from soloing it - because if no one had joined, you would have just soloed it any way. At the very least help people, dont kick em down.
Good long story only proving everything I said?

Wrong.

We could have three people on, could run R10s just fine with three, but typically put an LFM up to fill. And there isn’t another R10 group you’d rather be in.
I stated that wrong. I meant, more along the lines of...You've likely already got everything covered so come along if you want. Rather than a 'Be R10 ready' LFM.

Call me crazy, but when someone posts an LFM, they probably prefer someone who can actually get to the quest and not wander off to Narnia to die solo—because heaven forbid a decent R10 group move efficiently without being branded “elitist zergers.” If that means putting "Be R10 Ready" in an LFM, so be it.

Let’s split the difference and just post, “No flower sniffers, please.”

Everyone should feel good about that, right?

So much butthurt in this thread over how an LFM is worded. You choose to let LFMs bother you, regardless if they say "Be R10 capable" or "no zergers". DDO is a sandbox game. Play however you want without dunking on how other people play. If a group isn't a good cultural fit for you, then don't join it or leave it. Complaining on the forums about it is Karen-like behavior.

Lately a few of these non-inclusive LFMs start showing up with requirements like "minimum xx reaper points", that's self-explanatory. But what is even"be R10 capable"?

For me it depends highly on group makeup. If we don't have someone else taking aggro (esp. red names and doom reapers) I'd be dead too often but otherwise I can usually contribute ok in R10s. So overall, probably not what they mean by "R10 capable" 🤔

I think it sounds demanding, so not very enticing to join. Even if I was stronger, because I prefer a laid-back group instead of one where everyone's performance is scrutinised. I think it may also have to do with xp pots ticking.

I feel similar for raids that exclude people, like "no casters" because "dps only".
R10 is Reaper mode level 10. It's an elitist thing mostly
