Hi!

My name's KozyBean and I like to party. Do y'all like DDO community events? Would you be interested in a Massive PVP event? DDO Streamer Secrets Hunt (ARG puzzle involving DDO streamers)? A traveling cosmetic competition through all the servers so you can use your main toon's sweet sweet outfits?

If any of those sound fun to you, and you'd like to see the other event ideas I've come up with, in addition to other ideas from those in our community, let me know on this short anonymous form. It should take less than 5 minutes.

Thank you!

Scavenger hunts can be very fun. One method is to give participants a list of 10 or 20 items to acquire. The first person to return with the desired items wins.

A variant of this is the Amazing Race style of scavenger hunt. Rather than handing out a list, every participant gets a clue. The clue leads to some place, where an event organizer requires the player to accomplish some task. Only after accomplishing the task does the player get the next clue. This style strings out the action but requires more people to run.

Trivia challenges are usually very popular because a large number of players can participate with very little management overhead.

Riddles take more work but function like trivia challenges.

Horse races are now possible. Pick a large region like Ravenloft. Set up a course. Require participants to navigate the course, with event referees stationed at each milestone to make sure they are completed in order. First participant across the finish line wins.

You could hold a quest speed run. To make it fair, require everyone to use an iconic character in starter equipment. Each person or team enters the quest with a referee who waits at the door. Record the completion time. Fastest time wins.

You could hold a race to solve the puzzle in Ghost of a Chance. This one also requires a referee.

All of the above can be combined into a really intricate Amazing Race style event.

Hold a race to kill some huge monster, solo or in teams. This one requires a referee.

There are tons of things you can do. I am only scratching the surface here.

What, me worry?
hiya KozyBean! I had a chance to hit the new raid with you and your crew over in Lamania & I think if the folks here had a chance to know how much fun you are to group with they'd probably be way more excited!

Um, a community event...well, I do love cosmetics, so would probably join in on that. Maybe a fashion show...with audience voting..dunno.

oh, also, I kinda wish we could have a lesser known DDO tip sharing party. for instance I just saw a thread talking about pulling items from bank at peak hours, and the hack there is to modify the filter to reduce items being displayed in bank, then grab the item....it can cut emptying the reincarnation bank time into a very small fraction...anyway, I'm sure there are a ton of tips and tactics that could interest a bunch of folks.
