What if I already have Master of Forms when I hit Monk 12?

Let's say I take some monk levels mixed in with other classes and "skip ahead" to take Master of Forms at, say, level 15. If I hit Monk 12 at level 20 and qualify for Grandmaster, do I automatically get that, or do I just have a redundant Master of Forms I need to Fredify?

I assume the same thing that would happen if a pure Ranger took Precise Shot at level 3, then took Ranger 4. Never done that type of thing myself but I figure you can feat swap it after getting the later auto grant.

You'd get a redundant MoF, that you won't be able to swap out with Fred.
Visit Fred before taking the level.

Yeah if u see a feat redundant coming your next lvlup - just go to fred and swap it for anything usable.
