there are many mobs with evasion, and the damage is pitiful if enemies are saving all the timee for half damage.
There are spells which have fort save and some that have no save like Polar ray.

I'd have to say legend of zelda. lolI'm just curious. I only played DDO as a sorcerer, wizard, warlock, and a bit with the artificer. I will buy and play Alchemist in my next life. So far, I would say that Water Savant Sorcerer and Pale Masters are the easiest to do reaper quests naked. Air sorcerers' great problem is enemies with high reflex save + evasion, as sonic spells cost too much SP. In mid levels (7~13), I find it relatively easy to play r1/2 and sometimes even r3 without gear. Literally naked. See video below.
In general, legendary quests are the worst to try to beat naked. But I honestly don't think that I could solo high reapers naked with any class. Sure, having tomes and past-life stuff helps a lot. For example, a first-life Wiz doing the same quest above wouldn't have a tome and +X evocation DC from Sorcerer past lives (in the time of the video, +2). Nor the wiz feat (+1) and tome (+3 from INT bonus), making enemies pass his saves 30% more often, and with the more limited SP, would make passing such a quest naked in Reaper unviable.
This thread is not only to discuss classes and builds that can excel naked but also with very cheap gear.
Thats why there's so many inquisitors out there right rightHonestly, i could say alchemist is literally over-powered enough that gear isnt necessary. The reason i didnt recommend it earlier is because i generally dont doing any advertising for SSG and this is a pay to play class. So if you already have access its great to use, if you dan buy it with your ddo points then its a well over-powered class to destroy groups of mobs.
If you dont then stick to those that are available in the cleric and the favoured soul.
In EXTREME MV we have a subset for barebones that is on top of our regular permadeath rules;Cool thread!
If someone wants to do a naked trapper (assume 1st life) for elite/r1 is it doable?
Or on such a case we use trapping only items?
Under the same assumption, could we use some skill items only to cover utility but not combat tasks?
I would love to try it with an artificer! Only simple repeaters of different material that just have an ML shard for damage scaling.
Can I use a rune?
Hmm, I think someone has to formalize some naked community rules.
Are pots allowed?
Btw, I don't like running around in panties so I would either have a cosmetic or dress up on a disjunct cloths.
The more I think about it, can we have feather fall item? True seeing?
Oioi the rules can get tricky!
Things I would like:
Blind immunity (trinket)
True seeing (trinket)
Deathward (belt)
Feather fall (boots or cloak with slot to add the voice)
Water breathing (the air bottle)
Some clickies like shield, expeditious retreat or nightshield
Trapping items if needed. Meaning, if it is possible without them I would be happy not having them.
Special Material repeaters with ML shard
(Practically to by pass DRs and to get the damage scaling)
A runearm (one that can break multiple breakables by preference)
It can fast get derailed...
With the exception of the runearm all other item are not really combat enhancing. But more quality of life stuff.
Anyhow
What twinked gear mean?twinked gear
If you're going to allow any sort of "minimum" or "barebones" to work with, then you might as well say "I can go with a Level 20 weapon, but it's got 10 Filigree in it". Or any other equipment. So in my opinion, it absolutely should be zero gear of any kind; otherwise, just a sliding scale of what's permitted - there's no parity at that point.Absolutely naked: probably alchemist?
What twinked gear mean?
Hires for purposes of using switches etc? (Just don't do those quests... but you get the point)
Pots?, Favor buffs, Favor rewards?
Clickables?
So I could have 1 crafted item with slots and equip the bare minimum quality of life (Feather fall, Voice, Speed, Water breathing etc, using Craftable items... which I can swap based on need)
I think I will try something like that! I like these types of restraints.
Welcome to EXTREME!!That is GREAT, yes I would love to make a toon and join this playstyle.
I assume Cannith Crafting is allowed. It will take a while to achieve it but by the 2nd life I think the toon will ROCK![]()
