What is your most comfortable build?

What build do you prefer for low-effort, comfortable gameplay? A build that doesn’t require obsessive micro-management or upkeep during gameplay, something that stays reliably alive and deals reliable damage, with whatever else defines comfort to you.

For me it might just be a nice blaster Warlock.

Edit: Bonus points for performance in high difficulty settings, even if unlikely to be top DPS. Something that gets the job done while suiting your preferred style

Warlock is indeed low-effort, but the last build I played long term where I felt in a constantly stable position was a Bladeforged Sacred Fist (15 Sacred Fist, 3 Monk, 2 Warlock). Plenty of immunities, had save-on-a-1 vs everything with high saves, could fully heal every 6 seconds (or quicker with Lay on Hands), and had other reasonable defenses. If I wanted to go all-in for offense there were several things to bolster myself (Trance, Sacred Flame Empowerment, Jade Strike, Warlock Taint the Aura, Improved Sunder), but the base unarmed attacking was still good enough to go through most content without too much thought and button clicking.

Any class/race Inquisitor T5/Harper Agent T3 for Int hit/dam and trance/maybe some Dark Hunter/and throw in some race/class to back it up, hehe. It's all ~pew-pew~, shooting things so they have to run to you rather than the other way around seems easier than melee. I use about three hotbuttons in combat

I've been doing racial past lives with a cold warlock split between TS and SE. It's easy to play and I've already got gear for it.

Blightcaster will only die from lag.

So too stick Monk.

Sorc going Fire til level 13 or 14 then Elec.

Ranged Arty.

But really, anything will do fine in R1 levelling.

End game tank. Put on auto attack and sip coffee. Not the most glamorous thing you can do with a completionist toon, but someone has to do it on r10s and push raids.

Dhampir/dark bargainer, 15 wiz, 4 arti, 1 barb. Inquisitive, undead form from dhampir, lesser and normal death auras from wiz levels, dark hallow filis for more healing. Still good damage, undead immunities, and lots of comfortable healing.

EK Acid sorc. That was the build I used for most of my racial completionist lives. Easy button all the way through and invaluable in high legendary reapers whenever I wanted to take a break and stay at cap a while. I usually ran solo r2 from level 4 up and r4 if a capable friend joined. Very versatile. The only thing it couldn't do was disable traps.

All my builds are low button count high solo ability pretty much because that's what I like to play

Ek/pm inqui, DLord pal welf, SF VKF, stick Monk, and warlock 2fvs for heroic. Got a couple attack buttons to rotate, a few buffs, a heal option or two, and that's pretty much it. Got a bard DLord sun blade build too but that's very niche

On my main I just go dark hunter but he is epic completionist and almost racial completionist. On everything else it's buff bard buff bard whatcha gonna do whatcha gonna do when the buff bard buffs you... But can do r1 solo casually too <3

Overal has to be artificer though.

Mediocre spellsinger bard. Songs for a small boost, CC, heals, and don't really have to worry about spell immunity. Major downside is that with some of the newer content you can finish a beer while dropping a boss... but is that a bad thing?

Most groups are happy to have you come along, which is comforting. Songs and aura help take the edge off. You can slide between CC, heals, and adequate DPS. Gearing can be a pain if you want to be a no fail saves level 34 in level 38 R10, but that's why you have crayon munching dwarven lumberjacks run in front of you.

Sun Domain Radiant Cleric -> This is the easy button R10.
Rod and Board Blight Caster
Greatsword WF Paladin

But I'm sure any class can excel with the right gear and a half decent party that communicates.
