In all seriousness, orc and goliath make the most sense as they are part of core 5e now. Goblins were in 2014 and should be back at some point in the newest ruleset.
Most of the other races are all monsters. Including Trolls. Teh_Troll is a monster and should never be playable. I do not feel bad extinguishing his kind from gianthold each life. Sometimes I make him come along and watch.

Personally? Genasi have potential, Not sure Changlings could be done justice, Kalashtar, but adding Psionics is a big can of worms. Aside from those most other races have inherent abilites that would be problematic if included, and raise an outcry if they were left out.

I really want Goliaths, Duergar, Forgotten Realms Dwarves (maybe Shield or Gold but with new, higher quality models) and eventually Forgotten Realms Drow (with the updated model.) The Forgotten Realms variants can be iconics and start in Eveningstar if they must, I just want better models lol

Duergar miner (picks, hammers focus) Iconic - enlarge person SLA in racial tree
Ogre or Half-Ogre
Half-Orc or Orc greatclub Iconic
Goliath
Half-Giant
Minotaur
Troll
Something melee focused and brutish. Practically, it would probably make most sense to do Duergar just because dwarf is the only body type to not have an iconic option and should be fairly straightforward for the devs to implement. Enlarge Person could use the Sentinel ED animation, for example so already exists in game. Picks and Hammers need more support in the game so makes sense from that perspective as well. Cosmetics and Animations can be straight copied from dwarf with some slight artwork changes and additions.

Either Duergar because good lord of the two classic fantasy races (elves and dwarves) one is getting royally shafted, or something like, super far out there like bug people. Just no more elves or dex races for the love of the flying glacier.
