Tilomere’s ki bolt monk. Great for EH and low skull stuff; a melee with a power shot. So you melee most mobs, ki bolting the big ones and bosses—and with the monk update, lots of CC too on individual mobs. I am playing it on an Alt with only a few PLs. It is nice to have a new toon drop Yegora fast, for example, and ofc being monk means fast movement and abundant step.

First life I started really getting my stride was as an artificer/wizard combo.
A me-original, not looking anywhere else for ideas.

Wanted to try the (old) EK imbues on a repeater, and it worked great!

I played like 20 racial lives as a swashchanter variant. Usually 12bard/6fighter/2rog t5 warchanter for freezes/runspeed. Was such a blast, full swf line and shield mastery line. Stalwart for extra prr/mrr. Rog for evasion and traps. Could still hit meaningful freeze DC's with fighter feats and Know the angles. This was back when divine might and kta were the only trances.

Of my various lives:

Monk/DL/SF - Current life on my main, getting Sacred Fist past lives and using Trailblazer as I need those lives too but already have my regular Monk lives. Stick fighter, it's been a blast, using Dragon Lord for extra crit multiplier, wings, displacement, and roar. Not optimal, but it's been fun.

Monk stick - Frequently used for racial lives, basic stick build post Monk changes. Probably going to try out DL/Henshin next racial life set.

Bard/Barbarian/Else - Essentially Critzilla builds, SWF Kukri going up VKF and Ravager plus a bit into Swash. I've adapted it for a Bard life, Druid life (didn't feel like running a caster), and a few others. Mostly not optimal; I think the best version is the Shadar Kai life, but melts through most content. Occasionally I'd run DL, which is technically better, but I love my Barbarian run speed. I prefer adapting it to Iconics however, because it's such a deep multiclass the early levels are sucky.

Alchemist - Pure nuker, Cold in later levels but I did switch to Acid for the easiest run through Let Sleeping Dust Lie in memory. Falls off in Legendary, but good enough through epics/legendaries. I've basically used the same build for my guild run this life around, except corpse drunk and not whatever race I picked last time. Also a build I'll use for racial lives.

Druid - Cold caster, I didn't run it in epics much less legendary, but it was fun.

Exploiter Ranger - Classic old school build, Rogue 1/Fighter 1/Ranger 18. Basically could do everything to a degree. Now you get the same with Evil Ranger, which I've also enjoyed and ran a couple times. I have never ran a Ranger that was actually ranged.

Bitey Wolf Barbarian mess - Old build that was stuck on an alt that was retired for a long while. I lost the build sheet for it, but it was some hybrid of Winter Wolf, Barbarian, and Fighter. Old enough that Blight Caster didn't exist. Eventually I plan on figuring it out and modifying it for Blightcaster lives on my main.

FvS AA - Oddly mentioned by Tarrasque above, though it was half melted wax creature AA and not elf AA so the paralyzing effect was probably from the mobs looking at it in horror. Used in guild runs, very much fun and able to lock down everything with CC and keep the party alive during boss fights. Probably wouldn't run solo, mostly because I don't really care much for ranged gameplay.

Warlock - While not really great at higher levels, I have enjoyed my various Warlock lives here and there.

Disciple of the Pointy Stick - Pure Barbarian, Ravager, eSoS. Quick Cutter go Brrrrr. Also a build I have no problem cycling in for racial lives.

I used to play something like 19 Rogue/1 Ranger or 18/2. Took both stealth movement buffs, when they used to stack. I'd run around stealth, assassinating only the required targets and beat the boss down. I've always loved disabling traps and sneaking around unseen. I haven't tried it in years. And from what I hear, it doesn't work the same these days with somewhat recent changes.

Perhaps when I finish dwarf, I'll do gnome lives and give it a go again.

My current one - pure monk shuri thrower. It's like a running a T3 cruiser in EVE, being able to tune offence and defence on the fly, and so well rounded in so many aspects: DPS, dodge, AC, displacement, ranged damage application, evasion, mobility, stealth, heals and a bit of cc too when needed. Absolutely loving it. 😍👍

Back when the level cap was 20, my favorite build was a dual-wielding khopesh halfling strength rogue. I tried pure, 19/1 barbarian, and 18/1 barbarian/1 fighter—the last being the one I enjoyed playing the most. It was crazy DPS back then.

Nowadays, my favorite build is a DC (Transmutation) Aasimar Apothecary Alchemist. In my opinion, Apothecary is undervalued. You bring CC, insta-kills, debuffs, and heals to the party. Doing all of these things—and, more importantly, doing them at the right time—can be pretty challenging. Love it.

Dhampire Alchemist was a LOT of fun. Focused on negative energy vials, damage the mobs whilst healing myself, was freeking awesome.

Juggernaught, Prime of the Warforged was another favourite build many years ago.
