What would you fix?

Fix Hirelings so they don't try to attack mobs they can't actually see

Should stop them running miles to assist someone on the other side of the quest, or agroing/attacking mobs through walls

At this point, the game is probably so intertwined with legacy systems it would drive anyone mad trying to fix the obvious contenders without breaking everything.
However... OP you taunt me with this question.
  • Absolute text on items. What is a 'small chance' or 'has a chance to'? We nerds want the actual numbers!
  • Allow muting of certain sounds. (I can't stand some wild mages' surge sounds or repeaters)
  • Trade boxes. Trading/converting materials one at a time is awful and so slow. (I'm talking about things like fred dragonshard trade or treasure cove)
  • Change item locking so you can mass lock items without getting RSI. (teach me if it exists)
  • More scaling enhancements that get better when in epics. e.g. this one.
  • Better combat log. Allow filters that disable beneficial effects etc.
  • Scaling UI. I want actual use out of my 4k monitor lol
  • Double clicking on a quest opens a map, showing you were the quest giver is. - add this feature to zenman's idea
  • Add magical training to bards natively
Not that it is important by any means, but I noticed that all toons all races and all classes are right handed.
left handed ranged tactics was definitely not on my expected list for this thread 😆

I read a story about a developer that had an issue with a product he loved, with a bug they just never fixed. He got a job at the company, fixed the bug and handed in his notice.
If you were in this position and could fix one bug in DDO which one would it be? (we'll assume you have the knowledge and ability for sake of discussion)

for me, it's my favourite class and the even better iconic they added for it Dark Bargainers. The damage scaling is just broken to a laughable state (ie I'd make epic destinies work for them)

I have a feeling there's a certain someone out there that would fix the monster manual (after 1111 days of frustration)
Count me in for a MM fix. Especially things like Devil Assault where it is hit and miss whether something counts toward MM.

Just one thing?
wow hard choice.
Spell scrolls that target/buff a weapon should be able to target a weapon in your inventory, then when the spell is thrown you can then equip the weapon. Requiring that the weapon be held is a pain and limits the weapon you can buff to just weapons that can be held in the off hand.
If I had a choice 2 ....
it would be to allow players to use runearms with bows.

I would make the fluffy spiders in Needle in a Fey Stack actually fluffy
I would remove the reflection from the vampire in the Haverdashed Mabar event
I would remove the Fomorian's ability to throw boulders and increase model diversity to better align with their lore deformities.
I would remove the string text bug from the mimics in Through a Mirror Darkly
I would make the Dhampir's Dread Mist more than a shallow 3x3 square
I would add a "no jewelry" option to the Dhampir character creation to align with other races
I would remove the fart noise from Chaosmancy
I would have an Archmage pass
I would delete the iron defender from The Bark and the Blade (it knows what it did).
I would make the "shimmering magical portal" in the quest Beyond the Rift, specifically the one right after the draegloth fight, actually appear visually.

Hobgoblin

Less Nerfy Nerfy more fixy fixy
I want a brand-new house on an episode of Cribs and
A bathroom I can play baseball in
And a kingsize tub big enough for ten plus me

I would increase the platinum cap for characters and/or bank. Make it a 64 bit number now that we have 64 bit servers!

Maybe character limit could be kept, but at least bank limit should be way much higher.

"you are not facing" error when using an aoe ability that would/should hit everything I'm pointed at, regardless of the fact that I am not facing the mysterious remnants that I picked up a moment ago

I think repair spells should work on damaged equipment.
