What's best way to always have displacement up for pure monk?

take the magical training feat to have access to magic, go into feydark illusonist; tier 5 perma displacement, 2W or SWF with the fey sword. I have literally done this and it was fun.

I can't seem to get above 52% dodge. I can get 67% with the cauldron now, but it's only 67%.

It'll crack your damage a bit, but for what it's worth, it's very possible now to hit 95% dodge mostly consistently on a pure regular monk.

The build would be: Henshin 31 points (for 5th core), Ninja Spy 8 points (How you have your points now), Shintao 41 points (Taking Mediation of War and Capstone)

You could spend your points a different way, but this way gets you the most melee power and stuff so I think this is the best method for the character to also be playable.

All you need to do is always be in your cauldron, and every 8 seconds, use Shadowdancer's Epic strike. Two things that you can 100% do. Keep in mind, it's a lot easier to hit 95% if you're willing to multiclass, but totally possible on a pure monk. This is how:

Max Dodge:
25 Base
2 Ship Buff (27)
8 Water Stance (35)
3 Halfling (Yes you're correct about being halfling) (38)
3 Henshin Embrace the Void (41)
15 Henshin Cauldron, lasts 30 seconds with 30 second cooldown with 5th core but you gotta stay inside it (56)
3 Ninja Spy Agility (59)
5 Shintao Meditation of War - Water Stance (64)
4 Scion of The Astral or Air (68)
1 Grandmaster of Flowers Everything is Nothing Emptiness (69)
1 Reaper Tank Tree capstone (Yea 41 Reaper points required sucks I know) (70)
15 Meld - Shadowdancer Epic Strike upgraded twice (85)
3 - 2x Full Escalation Legendary Greensteel 6 piece set bonus (you can push this further if you can slot more LGS) (88)
7 Sentient Weapon / Artifact stuff. I think you can get a max possible bonus of around 13 or 14 with this now that 5 piece artifacts are around in MD, so this still has room for some attack filigrees.

That's a full 95% stack. But here's some more stuff that you can add in to lessen the burden if you dont want to put so much on your weapon or dont have 41 reaper points or so on

1 Reaper Cloak bonus on a Cloak
2 Curse Card max dodge.

Extra note: 4 Piece Feywild Spring set says it will give you +3 max dodge. It gives +1 max dodge. It lies.

Takes some work, but there, that's about 105~ max dodge to choose from on a pure monk. Doing this, you might actually end up finding it hard to get enough actual DODGE to fill up your dodge cap. Which is just hilarious to me. Have fun!

P.S. If you only play in Reaper, it's even easier. Since in the tank tree you get +9 Dodge and +2 more Max Dodge up the right side. Makes getting to 95% slightly easier but also +9 makes filling your actual dodge out a lot easier too.

Do you happen to know whether Shadowdancer Epic Strike melee works with strikethrough? E.g. if you had %400 strikethrough, would it hit 5 things around it?

Better. It's actually a cleave attack, so it'll hit like strikethrough anyway. But for what it's worth, the 6% dodge from Quick Cutter's "Quick" buff also ignores cap. So if you dont want to lose out on Quick Cutter, you can actually go with that instead. It just means you'll need to get to 89% dodge without it, instead of just 80% dodge with Shadowdancer's 15%

I don't use sneak attack, or at least I donno how to use them since I don't sneak around. Is there some way it's used or?
All that is required for sneak attack damage is to meet one of the following conditions (and, of course, have the sneak attack feature):
  • The target is unaware of the character's presence.
  • The target is attacking another player (possibly under the influence of Intimidate from that player or Diplomacy from the passive character).
  • The target is under the effects of a successful Bluff.
  • The target is helpless.
  • The target is blind.
  • The target is under the effects of a Deception item or attack.

Ah, didn't know that! Thanks!
It's too bad it doesn't seem to be refreshed, so you have to wait for it to finish, and then use the quick cutter to start it again.

Displacement clickys you can craft are Legendary Greensteel on the plus side you can use the weapon at lv 12, i made 4 of them so i got 8, 1 mim and 30 seconds of displacement, they have that flask from the monster hunter in the Hall of heros but thats only 1 min i think,
